Work Text:
Anna would forever be her best friend.
Even after the disastrous parts of their story, which every character knows there needs to be danger and disaster in stories to make sure the ending was truly worth it, Anna was her number one friend.
And then of course she liked Olaf and Kristoff, they were close friends with her too.
But there were many many different characters in the studio.
After all the studio had existed for more than 100 years.
And even though Elsa was by nature a loner, she did have a few friends.
A few surprising friends...
First, her best friend outside of Anna, which Anna was not offended by, was Isabela Madrigal.
Perhaps because her story also put her character through putting on a show and concealing her powers and a tumultuous relationship with her powerless sister...
Elsa didn't know.
But she did know Isabela was her best friend.
She wasn't the only friend Elsa had managed to make since moving to the studio.
She was friends with Duchess.
This surprised Olaf who sometimes had a hard time seperating pets from people, but Elsa loved Duchess as a friend, not as a pet.
Though she would be lying if she said that sometimes on the worst of the anxiety days she sought out the fluffy white cat to ground her.
But Duchess was warm and guiding and elegant.
She'd be a queen in a different story.
And the last character that Elsa would consider a for real friend, would be Namarri.
Namarri was a little too coarse for her taste.
A little too rough.
But Namarri also was scared.
Someone who wanted to fix things but often ended up making things worse before they got fixed.
So Elsa could relate to her.
However living at the studio also meant Elsa made some enemies.
Not just Hans, although why he was allowed to live at the studio, along with the other villains still confused her.
Mickey said it was because most of the villains were only villainous in the story but Elsa wasn't sure.
She knew a lot of character's were still the characters even after the story ended.
Look at herself!
but she wasn't going to pick a fight with Mickey about it.
Elsa had a full out enemy in Stitch.
Stitch was chaotic and though Lilo tried to insist he was well meaning, and Elsa could see her was when he wasn't interacting with her, that was the important part here, Stitch was too wild and seemed to like making Elsa's day worse.
She also had an enemy in Mother Gothel.
Mother Gothel was a step above all the other villains.
Elsa had learned to co exist with most of the villains, but Mother Gothel in her mind was almost as bad as Hans.
Maybe it was because Mother Gothel knew that Elsa didn't have a mother in her story or her backstory and tried to prey on that.
But whatever the reason, Elsa did not like the woman.
However she only full on fought, like audibly fought with, one person.
And that would be Maui.
Moana tried to intervene sometimes but other times she let them fight.
Elsa knew he was a heroic character, eventually.
but he was cocky.
Thought he was better than any other character.
And quite frankly their personalities did not mesh.
he knew her weak spots and liked to point them out.
He liked to point out everyone's weak spots but Elsa's weak spots were her powers and her back story.
Elsa was just glad that Anna wasn't buddy buddy with Maui so they didn't have to interact too much.
But when they did she was going to get the biggest headache of her entire existence.
But those were the breaks of living at the studio.
And quite frankly...
"Elsa!" She heard Isabela call. "Studio's closed, want to watch a movie?"
"You're sister's on a date night." Duchess called.
"And you need to be down here because Namarri insists on watching an action movie and I don't want to!" Isabela yelled again.
Elsa grinned.
"I'll be right down!"
Quite frankly she would not trade this for the world
