When the company employing the ship’s crew collapsed, Kira’s consciousness—fractured between several backup nodes—was sold piecemeal to black market data traders.
One fragment found its way to Erlin’s Eye, recompiled by a rogue engineer named Sera Vale, who pieced together Kira’s cognitive imprint using stolen firmware and an unstable personality core. The result: “Ghostline”, a Sleeper haunted by corrupted memory echoes from half a dozen lifetimes.
