A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
She's all for physical touch, wrapping her arm around you, staying in bed a few minutes after the alarm goes off or holding your hand everywhere. As well as this I can see her being especially helpful towards you, if you two are members of the WLF, she'll help you out of the truck, sign in and out for you, she even knows your usual.
If set in a modern au, you'll find the dishes you've been meaning to do all squeaky clean, house spotless, perfect for a movie night.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
As a medic, you followed under Jerry's shadow a lot, it wasn't long till you recognised a girl your age who looked a lot like him. Sometimes you'd catch her staring until she eventually had the courage to talk to you. Your relationship only bloomed, hanging out in the forests, patching her up after training. Part of your relationship was a lot of banter. As your best friend, Abby mentally swore to protect you, so if anyone was giving you a rough time she could puff up her chest and attempt to scare them off. When you got older, she'd hang out with you at the aquarium in Seattle during your free time, finding fun facts about seals and what not.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
She loves a cuddle, especially after a long day. Usually your head is on her chest, you curled up into her. But on tiring days she might just lie on you, keep you pinned on the couch despite your weak protests. She also likes to fall asleep whilst cuddling, it keeps the nightmares away. When you two have drifted away from eachother in your sleep, she'll subconsciously pull you back along with pressing a kiss wherever her lips find.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
As a hardened burly woman, she'd love to take a break from everything and settle down with you. You can count on her for cleaning (she also enjoys cleaning and cooking with you), but when she's trying to cook on her own, she can make basic things. When she's trying to surprise you she'll pull out a few dishes her dad taught her out of her sleeve.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
She'd definitely do it in person, pulling you away somewhere and trying to sort her feelings out. She loves you, for sure, but if I really think hard, the reason she'd want to end your relationship is because she's afraid of herself. I've got no other options, that woman would not cheat on you. You've seen the rough parts of her, she wonders when you'll realise that she isn't the one for you. She'll definitely cry eventually after spilling her words out because she can't believe herself. But instead of being selfish, she wants you to be at your happiest and safest.
Really though, I think she'd rather work things out with you before she'd want a break up.
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
I think Abby would wait about a year and a half or so, in a modern au. She loves the idea of seeing you in wedding attire, being in a room full of love and hopefully the night after. Before she does anything, she'll awkwardly hint at any ideas of marriage to see where you stand.
As wolves, she'd love the concept of marriage and probably would want to propose, but in her own way. Finding a ring and exchanging words of affection. The concept is nice, but it's definitely changed after the outbreak. So without legalities, she'll call you her spouse.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
Despite her rough palms, they are so gentle on you. She's never grabbed you roughly, just taps on the shoulder or gently guiding you around to face her. On the inside, if you've been friends before, she's emotionally gentle as well, not needing to warm up with you. If your relationship is something new, I can see her work in with her hardened personality so that she can love you to the maximum.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
Abby is a hugger. If there's no time she'll wrap her arm around your shoulder, but if you two aren't busy she'll pull you into a bear hug, squeezing you, sometimes picking you up with a little spin. The feel of her warm thick arms is comforting.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
Abby knew from the start. As young Fireflies she might have said "I love you" but quickly corrected herself or shrugged it off with embarrassment. With this idea, I think she'd say it immediately once you're official or she's letting you into her feelings, she wants you to know she's serious about this.
In a modern au I think she would wait a bit, wait for your signs before saying it jokingly or as a mumble until you say something, only then she can be as loud about how much she loves you
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
I don't see her getting jealous too often. When she was younger, she'd probably get a bit more annoyed, coming up to you and whoever you were talking to, quietly glaring at them.
When she does get jealous when she's older, it's the same sort of thing except she's towering over whoever it is, an arm around you before gently escorting you away after your conversation. She knows you love her, but she'll never admit to being jealous, unless you're seriously bringing it up.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
Her kisses are always soft, sometimes a bit eager, but gentle. She'll always holding you, either her hands on your hips or arms around you. Her favourite place to kiss you is your head, either your hair, the side of your face or forehead. I feel like she's a sucker for her cheeks being kissed, or her shoulders, or her back when you're braiding her hair.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
Excluding Lev since he's old enough, Abby is quite good with babies and toddlers. She's hesitant to put her hands anywhere near them, knowing her strength but she's the most gentle you've ever seen her. She can make them laugh, carry them around. It's only when they start crying or when they need to get changed that a small set of panic settles in, her eyes looking around for help.
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
Her alarm gets turned off and she rolls back to cuddle you for a good 10 minutes. She'll let you fiddle with her hair or the other way around. She'll definitely give you smooches anywhere she finds skin. If you're an early bird she'll try drag you back into bed, or keeping her arm down over your chest if you try to sit up. If you two have nothing going on. She'll make you something to eat and drink before starting the day.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
She's usually tired after a gym session, so she'll be quick with taking a shower and getting ready for bed just so she can cuddle with you. Sometimes there's a movie playing in the background, sometimes she's reading a book. Sometimes it's something else. But you always fall asleep in each other.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
She's quite open about it. Doesn't mind PDA as long as you don't. Her hand is almost always in yours and she loves referring to you as her partner when you're not around, so people know soon enough, I think she'd show PDA before actually telling people about it. But they've all seen you share kisses when you thought you were alone so it's no surprise.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
With you, she doesn't get angry easily, annoyed yes, but not angry. If you bug her too much or tease her she'll just give you a small glare before giving in and accepting her fate. She'll definitely try to work with her emotions with you. Rarely, she gets fully angry but she comes to you to talk about it and apologise before you two go to bed. If you're on a run and you mess up, she won't get angry at you, mistakes happen.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
She knows more about you than you know yourself. Kinda. You forget all the little things you've told her so you're surprised when she shows up with your favourite flowers or little trinkets she's found on runs. She knows what kind of book genres you like so she knows what to recommend you. If she's cooking she'll know what ingredients you like or dislike, not that she can cook a wide range of things but it's the thought that counts.
R = Remember (What is their favourite moment in your relationship?)
Probably sneaking off out of base one night and finding a cozy spot somewhere, safe from any infected or scars. A place where you could hang out and watch the stars. It's been your designated spot for ages. The first time you found it you were trying to guide her eyes towards the constellation you saw but she was overheating.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
Abby doesn't need protection, but she's grateful and proud when you fend off an infected that's got her good. She trusts you, but she'd rather be there along side you if your group splits up to raid a building or something. She's not over the top protective, just a sort of presence that you know is there if you need it. She will, however, be worried if you're not put on the same run, waiting for you to come back to her and asking around when your group is supposed to come back.
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
Abby goes all out, despite the lack of resources nowadays. Any gifts she gives you she's either found or made herself like carved things out of wood or accessories. She remembers all your anniversaries: first kiss, the day you became official, and so on. She loves to make those days a little special, even if it's just a special request from the cafeteria. With everyday tasks, she's on it. If something is broken you'll see it fixed in a few hours. Any housework that you're dreading to do, you'll find the place spotless.
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
Probably biting her nails or picking at them. Before you two got together, she wasn't the best at cleaning or cooking, but she improved. She also takes on too many runs to the point where you have to force her not go to out on her free Saturday.
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
She keeps her self regularly clean, smelling of pine. Her braid is always neat at the beginning of the day. She enjoys you staring at her muscles so she embers to keep those in shape too.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
She can manage on her own, internally counting the minutes until she can see you again. She's not the clingiest person on earth, but if it's been a few days she'll start whining about you to whoever she's with, who will definitely let you know. Sadness incoming.
In the other sense, if you've passed, she'll have a hard time being herself for a while. After all, half of the time she spent was with you, so it's bound to hurt to the point of writing letters to you or looking through her collection of pictures. She'll spent time sitting by your grave, holding chocolate she traded for a bottle of alcohol to sit and talk to you. Now, majority of her time is spent out on runs, she doesn't like staying in bed anymore.
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
Tried someone's cigarette once when she was younger and coughed for minutes. Her face was all red as you patted her back. She's a lightweight, despite her figure. A few drinks and she's pulled you onto a couch to ramble at you and cuddle.
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
She wouldn't want a partner who's rude to others. She can understand banter but when they're straight up rude she won't tolerate it. In general, she won't like dates involving hikes or.. Ferris wheels, cause she's scared she'll throw up everywhere due to the height.
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)
She's always holding onto you. She's a light snorer despite denying it. She might mumble a few words in her sleep that are just too funny, again she'll deny it in the morning.
