Notes:

In some omega verses it's the social norm for male omegas to dress more feminine so I'm going with that :3

Chapter 1: Summer

Chapter Text

Helen Brand and Marta Cabrera made their way to their packmates home. Ever since the last case Benoit had worked on, Marta and Helen had never seen him take such an infatuation with a client ever before. But then the little omega who threw himself before the church and begged for guidance entered Benoit’s busy schedule. Benoit made extra time to see Jud after and in between cases. What started as a fling between him and Blanc quickly became something so much more. After a month, he brought back the tiny omega back home to Phillip. It didn’t take long before he had both alphas wrapped around his finger, both men willing to beg at Jud’s feet for his love. After a few years, Jud had completely moved in with them. He still was the priest at the church he loved dearly. With the two new alphas with him, it made his communication to God much more frequent and relaxed. To him, it felt like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders. At least a little bit.

Jud had decided to take a sabbatical. The combined stress with being without his alphas and the events of everything that had happened with Wick’s made his hormones all out of whack. One day he’s cold, the other warm. It was beginning to take a toll on his health, losing weight at an alarming rate and losing sleep as well. Benoit and Phillip sat him down in the pews of Our Lady of Perpetual Grace. scent heavy and upset. “Babydoll...” Benoit began. “What’s got you so riled up?” Jud felt tears prickle up at his eyes, feeling cornered. Unable to look his alphas in the eyes. “I... I don’t know.” He fiddled with his sleeve. “I miss you two.” He then stopped. His face paled and greened. “I need to tell you two something.” He shot up and ran to the bathroom, gagging and dry heaving. He made it just in time as he was sick in the cold bathroom, heaving on the ground. Once he felt good enough to raise his head, he looked at his alphas, who had crouched beside him and looked twice as worried.

“I’m pregnant.”

Jud keeled over the toilet and threw up his dinner at 3 am in the morning. He gripped the porcelain, and the sour taste made him gag. His breath was shaky as his scent permeated the bathroom, unhappy. Scared. Sick. His scent woke his alpha. “What’s the matter, pumpkin?” Phillip mumbled, his arms glistening in the moonlit room. Phillip started to make his way out of Jud’s nest to the bathroom door. Jud gagged and dry heaved, tired and nauseous. “I’m... I’m fine baby. Go back to bed.” Jud wiped his mouth and flushed the toilet. He gently rubbed his belly and stood back up. He got the news 15 weeks ago, a little bit before his sabbatical and telling his alphas he was carrying. He figured that him spending his last heat with the most sought after detective on earth and his loving husband were the cause for the twins growing in him. “My sickness should end in a few days. I’m ok. Let’s get back to bed, darling.” Jud softly whispered.

Over the past few months, Jud has been going through the throws of carrying twins. They grew fast and he was only 3 months along, but he looked bigger. He felt like he was relying on God way more often than he usually does. But to Benoit and Phillip, that just meant he cried and wailed at just about anything and always clung to them. He never stopped his praying, still doing his little rituals he would normally carry out in Our Lady of Perpetual Grace. He leaves rosaries round the apartment, and his husbands don’t mind. His emotions were scattered, and he was too tired to pick them up. But as he lived with them more and more, he met both Helen Brand and Marta Cabrera on different occasions. He met Helen when him, Blanc and Phillip were at a resort, a small vacation to calm Jud’s nerves. Him and Benoit had been to Martas home prior, before he told his alphas he was pregnant. He must say, he was quite fond of them both after knowing them for almost a year. Marta was an absolute sweetie, bringing so much food for him and the twins that she and her mother made. Helen was not shy about gifting either, bringing things like baby clothing and diapers nearly every visit. “Lord knows we’ll need it.” Jud chirped as he ushered the two inside. It was a warm evening in June, AC cranked to 65 and Jud wearing a simple, backless cotton dress to combat the heat of June.

Blanc still took on cases in the earlier stages of Jud’s pregnancy, but he promised to put them on hold once Jud was closer to his due date, sometime in late December. “A Christmas baby?” Helen asked. “Blanc says that all the time.” Jud nodded, taking his seat next to Phillip. The last few times he met up with Helen and Marta, he listened as they told their eventful tales, of how they were both screwed over by the one evil that simultaneously kept the world running: money. Both women chose to solve their cases totally differently. Helen went up in a blaze in revenge for her sister while Marta’s kind heart ended up being her greatest savior. He truly admired both, strong in their own ways.

“How have you both been?” Phillip asked. He wrapped an arm around Jud as he placed a hand on Jud’s belly. “Teachings been ok. Marta helps a lot, with supplies for the class and such.” Helen started, the evening sun setting for the day, painting the apartment in golden rays. Jud smiled. “That’s very sweet. How has things settled for you?” Helen paused. “Well for one thing, the shitheads finally left me alone. I haven’t done an interview ever. It was a lot, but now I only get around 10 emails asking for interviews which is a lot less than what it was.” Marta nodded. “I’ve only done around 3 interviews. I’m not very fond of them.” Jud nodded. “Me neither. I finished mass once and a swarm of reporters came to me. God, I hated the attention. I didn’t want to be the guy who was accused of murder forever.” He smiled. “But since the sabbatical, it’s been nice. Once the twins are old enough for daycare I’ll go back.”

Helen and Marta nodded. The only one missing was Blanc, who was taking on a Hollywood case with some drummer and a dead lead singer. He would call every night and update Jud and Phillip on the case. Jud wasn’t a whole lot interested in the cases Blanc would take on, but for some reason this one intrigued him. “How’s the new case?” Marta asked, her voice sweet and soft. Jud and Phillip exchanged a look. “Blanc says he thinks the drummer is innocent. But several reports of suspicious behavior from their manager. The bassist has been quiet too.” Phillip said. Sometimes Phillip and Jud worried about Benoit, not only because he was so far but he was most often surrounded by the guilty or unhinged.

Jud sighed, rubbing his belly. It’s a new habit he picked up, whenever he worries for Blanc it's normally where his hands go. He felt Phillip rub his arm, gentle and loving. Since the summer just began, it was no longer necessary to keep the fire burning. Instead, they opted for things such as lamps or dimly lit candles. He loved their apartment. It was only a matter of time before they welcomed their twins.

It was a matter of time before Blanc called again, another update and such. As Helen and Marta said their goodbyes, Jud sat on their porch, listening to the sounds of Manhattan in the summer. Soon as he sat down with Phillip joining him, he got Blanc’s call. Phillip darted for the phone, Answering the call as soon as it started. “Hey, sugar. Jud with ya?” Jud heard the southern drawl and smiled. Phillip turned on speaker and set the phone down.

“How’s the case going, darling?” Jud asked, softly. “I’ll get in the nitty gritty when I’m home, sweet pea. But for now, I still think the drummer, Alexi, is innocent. The bassist still has not left their abode. Compelling...” Benoit drawled. Jud smiled. “How long before you come home?” He whined. Phillip placed a hand on his lower back. “Not long, pumpkin. What’s the matter, baby?” Benoit asked. “Jud just misses you. Isn’t that right, love?” Phillip chimed in, rubbing Jud’s back, earning a soft purr from him. Jud felt tears threaten at his eyes. “Yeah...” He sniffled. “God, the hormones. I can’t even think straight. I can’t wait to see you, love.” Jud cooed. They continued until late in the night, discussing the logistics and such about the case. Jud could feel sleep begging at his eyes and body. He got up and made a beeline to his nest. Phillip followed behind, with Blanc on the call. Jud fell asleep in Phillip’s arms as the two spoke into the night.
