Work Text:
Yanagi tiredly arrived home with one thing in mind, and that was to rest from a long day at home. She plopped down on the couch while she rubbed her sore shoulders. All that paperwork today really took a toll on her shoulders. She heard footsteps approach her from behind her, but she didn’t even bother to check who it was since she already knew. She felt arms gently wrap around her neck while she was pulled into a hug from behind. “Welcome home.” Belle lovingly hugged the HSO member while said girl couldn’t help but smile at the affection.
“Yeah, I’m home.”
“So, how was work? Was Harumasa trying to get out of work again?”
“Yes, but this time he couldn’t come up with an excuse this time.” Belle noticed Yanagi rub her shoulders, which meant one thing, so she let go of the HSO member. She placed her hands on her shoulders, which startled Yanagi. “Um, what are you doing?”
“What do you think? I’m giving you a massage!”
“You know how to do that?”
“I’ve had some practice. Just let me know if I need to add more pressure or not.” Belle began her work, and with Yanagi’s guidance, she was able to give the best massage possible. This continued for a few moments, and Yanagi tried her best, but Belle’s massage was working wonders on her. Yanagi let out a noise which caused Belle to stop and her face to turn red a little. “What was that?”
“N-Nothing.”
“Nothing, huh?” Belle smiled a little.
“Eek!” Yanagi let out a surprised noise when she felt Belle kiss her neck, and Yanagi couldn’t see it, but she could tell her face must be redder than a tomato. This continued until Belle was staring at her, and Yanagi looked away for a moment, too embarrassed to look at Belle. She closed her eyes while she waited for Belle, and she felt lips touch her own. Before they could continue, they both heard footsteps rush towards them, and they separated to see a little girl with pink and blue hair jump on Yanagi’s lap.
“Mom! You’re back!”
“Hey, have you been a good girl?”
“Yep! Aunt Soukaku has been playing with me this whole time!”
“Nagi! I’m hungry!” Soukaku shouted as she ran by.
“Why don’t we all go out?”
“You sure?” Belle asked.
“Yes, let’s do it.”
“Yay! Let’s go!” Both Soukaku and the little girl dragged both Belle and Yanagi out while they both smiled at each other.
“You know, I love-”
“Meow.”
“Huh?” Yanagi opened her eyes to see that she was in Random Play, and more specifically, Belle’s room. She looked down to see that the little cat they had adopted was staring at them before leaving. Yanagi looked around, confused as she recalled what had just happened. She wanted more practice with her singing, so Belle agreed to help again, and they decided to meet at their store. Which led to them doing what they did last time. She looked down to see Belle sleeping on her lap, which she couldn’t help but find kind of cute. But that didn’t matter right as it was the daydream she had. Her face burned red as she thought about it more.
“Was I just imagining a life with the manager? Who was that little girl? Was that supposed to be our daughter? No, that can’t be, right?” Yanagi could feel her heart race as she thought about being in that situation with Belle again. “There’s no way I have feelings for her, right?” Yanagi jumped a little when the person of her current turmoil suddenly sat up.
“How does she do that?” It was the only thought in Belle’s head as she turned towards the HSO member. “S-Sorry, I fell asleep again.”
“I-It’s fine.” Yanagi tried to calm herself down, but it wasn’t working with how close she was to the manager.
“Yanagi? Are you okay?”
“I-I’m fine! What’s made you ask me that?”
“You look a little red.” Belle reached out and placed her hand on Yanagi’s forehead. Once again, she could feel her heart race, and she knew that she had to leave. “You don’t feel like you have a fever.”
“See, I’m fine. I should go now. Soukaku must be waiting for me.”
“Alright, see you later!”
“Right.” Yanagi left Random Play as her mind was still on that moment, and she thought about it more, and yes, she couldn’t deny it even if she wanted to. She was definitely in love with Belle, and she didn’t know how to interact with her now without it being awkward. But there was one thought she had before she continued back home. “The imagination is a terrifying thing.”
