"find someone who grows flowers in the darkest parts of you" Denki heard first in a Zach Bryan song. that became Denki's life lesson. life wasn't fair towards him, ever. he picked up more and more bad habits as time went on and he eventually got help. he and his mom really bonded through that time, she left his abusive father and that was that. they now live in a small house, but its a happy house, not one full of yelling and injuries.

he saw the tattoo thing on tiktok, it was of a girl getting heart drawn by here friends near her hurt. Denki wanted flowers over his scars. "Mom!!" Denki walked out of his room. "can you draw me a flower, please!!" his mom was cooking dinner and help her younger two kids with homework but she paused. "sure, lovie.. any flower?" Ms Kaminari asked. she had mid length yellow curls with black streaks and the kindest of eyes. Denki nodded and she drew a the first flower in the garden.

the next flowers were from the Bakusquad. they were at their weekly sleepover in Mina's room when Denki spoke "can you guys draw me a flower... please!" it got everyone's attention. Mina smiled "of course, Kamibabe!" she drew her flower next to his mom's. Sero smiled "flowers, from us?" he said as he grabbed the electric boy's infamous sketchbook. "why?" Kirishima asked as he took it after Sero and Jiro drew one silently, as Shinso murmured something as he drew his. "uhm.. a surprise!" Denki exclaimed and carried his sketchbook to Bakugo. "no. not unless i know why." he said, eyes closed. Denki huffed "please! you'll find out soon!" Bakugo huffed and did so.

by the wednesday, Denki had all of class A, some of his friends in Class B, his younger brother and sister. he reached out to a tattoo artist and she agreed. he got the flowers over scars on his arm and with his favorite lyrics "find someone who grows flowers in the darkest parts of you" underneath. he thought it was incredible beautiful and he paid the artist. he showed his mom and siblings and week later. his mom cried and his siblings didn't get the concept but hugged him. he showed all his other friends and they cried or just hugged him too tight, mainly both.

Denki's favorite reactions were the Bakusquad. it was another sleepover this time in Denki's room and he was on his bed "you wanna see what i did with the flowers..?" he announced allowed to the bakusquad, they were playing Scary Shawarma together but all turned to Denki. "what did you do, Dunce Face?" Bakugo grumbled. Denki stood up and rolled up his sweater sleeve, revealing the tattoo. Mina gasped as tears filled her eyes, Kirishima's eyes got glassy real quick, Sero smiled a huge smile, Jiro smiled aswell with a chuckle, Shinso grabbed Denki's arm to look at the tattoo, and Bakugo's softened. "is that... Denki-!" Mina said through tears hugging him. Jirou joined the hug, then Shinso, then Kirishima, then Bakugo, then Sero wrapped his arms around everyone. they stayed like that for atleast five minutes, realizing the gravity of the tattoo. they all felt like mush. "bro, that's so manly! man, you have all of us crying!" Kiri said as he wiped his eyes and Denki looked up. Kirishima was right, even Bakugo looked a little soft. Denki began crying too. Denki played "Sun to Me" at every opportunity and nobody complained again when they heard the song for the 18th time.
