Falke and her Hummingbirds walked along a shoreline on a warm sunny day. Endless bright blue waters followed the shoreline, accompanied by five white towers off in the distance. Up in the air, a few puffy white clouds could be seen.
Vineta could be so beautiful. She and her Hummingbirds found the warmth of the sands radiate inwards through the metal and plastic of their hooves. Then there was a gentle breeze that made Falke’s long hair sway, along with the sound of waves gently lapping the shore.
Up ahead, 01 plucked something from the ground. Only to hold it upwards by one end. [“Falke! Check out this starfish!”]
[“Uhm, that’s actually a Sand Sifting Sea Star, not just any starfish!”] 02 held up a red finger.
[“Nerd!”] 01 ran over and put the starfish on 02 head. The starfish curled on top of 02’s black hair.
[“Hilfe!”] 02 cried out, flailing her hands over her head to get it off while she ran around. The starfish tried to stick to her!
Falke towered over her Hummingbirds smiling. She decided to grant 02 mercy, levitating the starfish off 02 and back into the ocean with a splosh. [“There you go.”]
[“Thanks Falke!”] 02 glared over to 01, before tackling her down onto the sand. [“You’ll regret that!”]
[“Hey!”] 01 fought for her life!
03 could only sigh. She was about to intervene if a gentle hand that stroked the top of her head hadn't stopped her. A blush formed on her faceplates, accompanied by a warm feeling enveloping her.
That action not only soothed her, but 02 and 01 as well. The two stopped fighting, momentarily, laying on each other as if they were the ones having their head caressed.
“My Hummingbirds, no need to fight. Lets finish our walk.” She levitated 02 and 01 to their hooves, rather, she levitated them up and onto each side of her shoulders. They weighed nothing at all to her.
The two could only smile as they were used to that. Comfortably perched on their Commander’s shoulders, 01 and 02 laid a hand on Falke’s head. 01 gently stroked the top of Falke's head while 02 ran her fingers through Falke's long hair. Both their legs dangled in front of Falke.
How nice of a sensation it was to have their hands run along her head. Falke took 03 hand, as they walked forward on pale sands. She couldn’t help but glance up at the two Kolibris on top of her, before back down to the one she was holding hands with. Truthfully she brought her Hummingbirds here for another reason. She was to make her Hummingbirds a gift.
[“03, the view is really good up here!”] 01 teased.
[“Yea you’re missing out!”] 02 smirked before looking down at her sister.
[“You know I could just see through both of yours eyes right?”] 03 rolled her eyes.
[“Yea but you don’t get to sit on the Commander's shoulders!”] The both of them said at once.
[“Ha! I get to hold the Commander’s hand! Who’s really missing out? Hm!?”] 03 had a smug grin.
Falke overheard the mental bickering, as she tried not to laugh. [“I have an idea my Hummingbirds. Let’s me sit here for a moment.”] She stopped in her tracks, levitating 01 and 02 off of her. Falke then let go of 03 hand.
[“Aw.”] All three whined.
[“Don’t worry, I have something special just for my charm.”] Falke sat down on soft sands.
[“Really?”] 01 blue eyes lit up.
[“Yea?”] 02 danced on her hooves.
[“What is it?”] 03 smiled.
[“Patience.”] Falke’s gaze moved downwards towards the sands. She would make reality bend to her will. With just a thought and her bioresonance module, the sand would flow upwards like droplets of water, accompanied by a shimmer of iridescence. Each particle of sand danced around. Some molding itself to a shape while other drifted away due to Falke purifying for silica.
Eventually giving rise to a sand sculpture of three Hummingbirds perched on flower. However, Falke was not done yet! The sands started to shimmer and cook, turning molten orange before it gave way to glass, only to immediately cool down.
In front of the flock was a small glass statue, where the sun rays made the statue gleam. Most of it was transparent, except for the birds and flower. Falke had made the glass refract in such a way that the birds had many illuminating rainbow bands take up it’s shape, while the flower had red bands fill its form.
“This is for you my Hummingbirds!” Falke smiled at the three of them.
The three were surprised! Their happiness radiated outwards like the sun shining down on Vineta. Falke felt it like it was her own with the world beaming ever brighter than before.
The charm of Hummingbirds walked over to the statue, admiring it in it’s glory before turning around towards Falke. They immediately ran over and hugged Falke!
“Thank you Falke!” They said in unison.
“No, thank you my charm, for always being with me.”
That got the Hummingbirds to look at each other, before all three grinned. Falke immediately sensed what they were up to, but before she could react, all three leaned into her and kissed their Commander. 01 kissed her on the lips, 02 and 03 on each side of her faceplates!
The Commander was flustered, before she smiled. She wrapped her arms around all three of her Hummingbirds, hugging them tightly, as she and her charm fell onto the sand beneath, laughing. Perhaps, this is heaven.
