Work Text:
“You are also going to need more boxes.” Tim stares at the room in front of him, full of the boxes he picked up a few days ago. And then after Lucy who had gone in the direction of the bedroom.
Of course.
He knows exactly where she is headed.
It’s probably where they should have starred out considering the day they had but both of them had been distracted by each other and fallen into bed.
Tim makes his way towards the bedroom and then steps into the bathroom. Lucy is already in the shower. He pauses before he walks over and drops the sheets. He kicks them to the corner, they would have to be washed anyway and then opens the door. Lucy turns to look at him, her hair already soaking wet.
“Finally.” She says. She steps to the edge and pulls him into the shower. “I was wondering if you would ever come.”
“Like I would miss out on this.” He mutters. He doesn’t want to quite let her go yet, he doesn’t want to get out of this bubble they are in. “What do you mean you need more boxes?”
Lucy shrugs her shoulders, tilting her head back. Tim just stares at her in awe. “I have a lot of stuff.” She says.
“I don’t remember that.” He says. She looks at him, an amused look on her face.
“Maybe you didn’t pay attention.” She says. She stands up straight and pulls him more under the water. “I just need a few more.”
“Okay.” He says and he thinks he would get 100 more boxes if it meant getting Lucy moved in faster. Like he told her, he wants her all the way in his life. He doesn’t want to sleep alone. He’s tired of that. He’s tired of not having her in every single capacity. He loves her. A lot.
“You are awfully agreeable.” She says trailing her head down his chest. Tim stares at her in amazement.
“It’s you.” He says shrugging nonchalantly. “And it has nothing to do with the fact that you are wet and naked in my shower.”
“Our shower.” She says and then pulls him down for a kiss. Tim backs her into a wall and he’s grateful for his extra large shower. He’s grateful that she is with him in his extra large shower.
“Right.” He says and he feels giddy. Nothing like he has ever felt before. She pulls him closer and rests her forehead against his.
“Thank you.” She whispers. Tim stares at her, and it’s him who should be thanking her.
“For what?”
Lucy shrugs and traces her finger down his jaw. “For loving me so much to give us another chance.”
“I never stopped loving you Lucy.” Tim says his eyes searching her face. “I fell in love with you once and then again. I keep falling.”
“Hmm.” She says. “That’s kind of sweet.” Tim raises his eyebrows at her. Lucy just gives him a soft look.
“Kind of sweet? I thought I was adorable.” He says. Lucy grins at him and pulls him down for another kiss.
“You are.” She says. “You talk a little too much because the water won’t be hot forever.” Tim watches as a mischievous look crosses her face. He shakes his head at her, and presses against her.
“Okay.” He says. “Let’s not waste anymore time.” She grins at him and he kiss her again.
No more wasting time.

Tim rolls over and latches onto Lucy again. He presses a kiss to her neck and then waits as she stretches out a little bit before opening her eyes.
“Hi.” She mutters.
“You fell asleep.” He says. They had finished their shower, and then climbed back into bed. Lucy fell asleep quickly but Tim didn’t blame her. He was tired too, but he didn’t sleep. He couldn’t really seem to take his eyes off of her.
It wasn’t his fault, he couldn’t believe he had her back in his bed. And in his arms. It was lot like April Fool’s day where it was just a hall pass. It was just for 24 hours and he needed more than that.
He needs a lifetime and he’s not even sure that would be enough. He needs her all the way in his life in anyway possible.
“The shower wore me out.” She mutters. “I haven’t done that in a long time.”
“Hmm. Me neither.” He says. “It was great.” Lucy turns around to face him.
“It was great?” She asks. “Just great.” Tim rolls his eyes and pulls her closer. He puts his leg through hers so she doesn’t move.
“It was life changing.” He says. Lucy chews on her bottom lip.
“Better.” She says and she pauses slightly. “I figured out your love language.”
“Other than terse nods?” He asks. It was such a long time ago, but he would never forget that. He would never forget the night that changed everything . The night that sent him down a spiraling hole of depression and darkness. And shut out the best thing that has ever been his. He didn’t want to remember it.
“Oh you remember.” She says grinning. “I mean yes those. But also touch.”
“Yeah?” Tim asks and he can see how that it is possible. He has had Lucy close for less than 24 hours and he has never felt so at peace. They haven’t been separated for more than 10 minutes and somehow he always has his hands on her in some kind of way.
But touching her, having her close grounds him and he loves it.
“Oh?” He says and he pretends to move away but Lucy pulls him back in. “Really?”
“Okay so it’s mine too.” Lucy says and she leans in to kiss him. “Big deal.” Tim grins at her, and presses a kiss to her forehead.
“I like it.” He says. “I can’t keep my hands off of you.”
“I know.” Lucy says. “You have barely let me go since we got home.”
Home. Home. His home was now her home.
“I know.” Tim says. “Okay I have a confession.”
“What?”
“I know you said you were worried and that’s fair. I don’t blame you. I messed up and I broke your heart. I hate that.” Tim says. “I’m sorry. I love you. I’m afraid you will change your mind and realize I’m not worth it.”
“Tim—”
“We did this for 24 hours and then you left. And I was left wondering how I could possibly get you back.” Tim continues his voice shaking. “I don’t want you to disappear. And if holding onto you will help that.”
“I’m not going anywhere.” She says and she runs her fingers through his hair. “Not now. Not ever as long as we both fight to make this work.”
“I promise.” Tim mutters and he feels himself relaxing. “I love you. I want you. I need you.”
“Very romantic.” She says giving him a grin. And then it fades into a soft smile.
“I love you too.”
Tim leans in to give her a kiss, and then rolls away from her. He hates it but he needs to go to the bathroom.
“Wait—”
“I’ll be back Luce.” He says as he climbs out of bed and looks at her. Lucy pouts at her and goes into the bathroom. He goes to the counter and takes a deep breath. He hears her before he sees her. She wraps herself around him and lays her head on his back.
“Who can’t keep their hands off who?” He asks. He feels her press a kiss to the middle of his back. She mumbles something that he can’t understand and he turns around and pulls her close.
“Do you mind?” She asks. Tim shakes his head and kisses her again.
“No.” He says. “I don’t mind at all.”

They make their way to the kitchen instead of the bedroom again and Tim holds onto Lucy and even though he knows she won’t leave. Even though she’s here to stay. He still just wants her close.
He wants her always.
He wants her to be his and luckily she is.
He can’t wait until they have Lucy all moved in (he will get more boxes). He can’t wait until they start this next chapter.
Their chapter. In their house.
Because it’s worth the wait.
