He hadn't visited Egg in the end for days, maybe even weeks. It was hard to tell. He kept giving himself excuses, like he might put his identity in danger, or even egg, if he was being hunted. But in all truth, he didn't know why he kept avoiding people.
He was the strongest on the server, so he couldn't possibly be scared. But then, why did he start this whole fake identity thing in the first place?
The strongest person on the server being scared of people from his past, and scared of putting them in danger- it sounded silly.
His communicator pinged, probably from Egg, but he didn't open it. It doesn't matter. So why does he keep bugging himself about it?
This ghosting issue didn't start with his fake identity, did it?
It had been so long since his whole training arc thing, he couldn't remember nearly anything from it. He might have been motivated from a fear of being weak, which sounded right. It made sense. Well, afraid of other people seeing him as weak. He is the strongest, and even then flame likely didn't stand a chance. It was all buzzing around in his head, but he couldn't get to the right answer. Like he was blocking himself from it in a weird subconscious way- like he knew deep down he didn't really want it.

Could this really only be called a bad habit? He felt bad but all he did was stuff his com back in his pocket. It doesn't matter anyways. He just hoped Egg wouldn't mention it next time he visited. Whenever that was.
Maybe he felt so bad because he knew what this was like. Almost begging on your knees for someone to say something or see them again.

Maybe this was learned. It didn't make that okay for him though. Knowing that- it didn't make it better. It didn't make it justified. Egg probably misses him, like he missed Mane. Why did Egg put all this work into him anyways? Whatever,
Okay, yeah, sure. Fine. Maybe he was scared. So what? That doesn't mean anything.
