Summary:

Port and Umi had fixed the moon and saved the world; Port had gotten his dad back but Umi didn't really have anyone to... Go home to... Umi was left with the boat, alone, heavily traumatized, trying to hide the scars she had almost everywhere, Port and Umi only rarely texting each other at this point (I'm adding technology shushshh)... It was sad but hey... What are you gonna do?

But…

She ponders what she did wrong, was she still the monster that broke the moon?

Chapter 1: Am I the problem?

Chapter Text

The sun dips into the water, the sky a yellow orange. The boat rocks gently as Umi lay on the bow, contemplating.

Umi was wearing a large sweater, something he gave her just a day before they fixed the moon, her old jeans that were once too big for her but now they fit, her old red bandanna, and her four year old shoes.

What did she do so wrong for him to just leave?

“No, he would've left sooner if that was the case.” She muttered.

She thought while tracing the scars from fighting so many people when Port would get a bit too rowdy or when they would try and mess with her.

“It's nice that he got his happy ending” Umi muttered to no one in particular.

“Why do u miss me?” She texted then deleted.

“How are u guys doing over there?” She texted then deleted again.

“I've been doing fine” She texted and sent.

“I hope he doesn't actually hate me…” She muttered.

Umi's stomach growled.

Shit

Umi couldn't really feed herself at the moment, and she was extremely tired, so she couldn't fish or hunt or whatever, she decided to sail where she dreaded.

The Catfish Inn where Mira worked and lived.

She was afraid that Mira would judge her for being so... Alone.

But most of all she would look at her with that face of concern she dreaded so hard...

But nevertheless she needed some actual food instead of starving herself.

But was she actually good enough for food... what would Mira ask her... what would the people in the Inn say, WHAT WOULD-
