The door shut with a soft click behind Haley.
She adjusted her camera around her neck, an excited smile on her face. She had just gotten a new roll of film in her camera and was looking forward to taking some shots.
As she stepped into the road, Vincent bumped into her.
“Vincent!” Penny rushed over.
“I told you not to run.” She scolded.
Jas was right behind her, grabbing her pant leg.
“I'm sorry Miss Penny.”
The boy turned to Haley with an apologetic look. “I'm sorry.”
Haley waved him off. “It's fine, no harm done.”
Vincent was eying Haley's camera, which she noticed- raising it with a smile. “Would you like to take a photo?”
“Can I?!” The boy jumped in excitement.
Jas looked intrigued now as well, approaching as Haley handed the camera to him.
“Please be careful.” Penny's voice was tinted with worry for the expensive-looking object.
The kids just looked at the camera for a while before Haley suggested, “why don't you take a photo of us?”
Vincent turned toward them, holding the camera up.
Haley’s hand found Penny's shoulder, pulling her closer. The women smiled while Jas jumped in front of them.
Vincent turned around, looking at the lens as he held the camera up.
“Cheese!”
