Work Text:
“I want to borrow your mask.”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Because I said no.”
“That’s not a reason.”
Peter sighed from behind his Spider-Man mask. “You can’t borrow it because I am currently wearing my mask.”
“When you’re not wearing it,” the girl said, now floating upside down as she looked at him, attempting to give him her best puppy dog eyes, only for Peter to sigh yet again, frustrated that the child was trying to get the best of him.
“There’s only one Spider-Man.”
“What’s that?”
“My hero identity.”
“Why?”
“What do you mean by ‘ why?”
“Isn’t your name Spider-Man?”
“Why would you think that?”
“Because my name is Bubbles, whether I go to school or do hero, I mean heroine stuff!”
Peter sighed. “This is going to be a long day.”
