It started off any other day, Chase woke up and do his morning routine as Silver chatted along with Bronze, the keys in a good mood, the plan was to get some more narrative from finishing a book and after revisit the library to restock...
Or at least that was the plan hours ago, Buddy and him bickering in the latest book were a mess! And Deacon was very much tired of his own accidental third wheeling. The whole book was entire mess...
maybe he shouldn't have skipped to the part of the book where the heroine was getting chased down but he was here now and ready for the library.
"Hey Grandpa, I'm heading to the library- okay bai!!!" Chase said quickly to avoid getting dragged into Grandpa Ralph's revenge plan that seemed to happen every so often againt a specific women. Chase was already out the door with Silver hidden in his front pocket
"Chase, what books are you thinking of doing this time?" Silver's voice was muffled through the fabric before popping her head out enthusiastically, the pink gems of her eyes seeming to light up as she already thought of so many new outfit designs!
Chase looked thoughtful for a moment before shrugging "maybe Alice in wonderland? Eh maybe not... don't wanna deal with all that trouble" Chase walked down the sidewalk, an unease settled in his stomach as he came closer to the library door
"Maybe I shouldn't have ate all those slices of pie Gramps made" he laughed, perhaps it wasn't pies though but ignored that. Silver looked curious with a pane of worry in her gaze "are you sure you're well Chase?" In response Chase nodded as he walked through halls and halls of books, he's been here many times yet never had this uneasy experience, damn those pies must be really messing with his stomach!
Something caught the key's eye rather quickly in the back section "hey, look at that!" She pointed out with a smile. Chase picked it up with a confused look, why is there literal stone in a library?? And the engraving... weird. Silver jumped down out his pocket softly to get a closer look herself "I can't read it at all?" Chase's feeling of unease only grew- he knew he should have brought Dorkin with him!
than a sudden faint glow radiated from the stone tablet!?... this is bad isn't it?
