Work Text:
Carl hated that according to most of his family, he was the arsehole for holding a grudge.
“It was a long time ago, Carl.”
“It might be time to forgive and forget.”
“I don’t know why you keep telling these silly stories.”
“Just keep the peace, please.”
He’d heard so much of this ever since Pip accused his father of molesting him, and Carl spoke up too, only to be shut down by everyone.
So he learned to keep quiet.
But he kept the grudge. How could he not?
How could he forgive Father for the awful things he did?
