Here Is A Demo Of My Latest Sentence

Summary:

⋆˚࿔ An Oshi No Ko rewrite ft. Aquamelt

He never allowed himself to have feelings— for anyone, really. Hence, Aqua never got to experience it either, whether that be romantic or platonic. He was sure there were people in his life he loved but, whether he regretted isolating himself for so long was something he still thought about. Aqua imagined that carrying those feelings held responsibility— He thought they were something dear to most but seeing the way Akane carried herself, he realized that there was still a lot he didn't know.

He didn't want to think about Melt.

Chapter Text

Aqua knelt gently on the warm, gray concrete, wind violently thrashing through his blonde locks, yet not seeming to bother him as he was deep in thought. His starry Agapanthus blue eyes were closed in a delicate manner. In his hands, between his slender fingers were two incense sticks, smoke brewing hazily through the sticks, effortlessly mixing into the atmosphere, leaving the warm and rich scent of the incense lingering throughout the hot summer wind of May.

Despite the harsh and almost blinding thrash of wind blowing through the area, it was excruciatingly warm, although it did not faze the young man as he stayed in his reflective trance. Aqua reopened his eyes filled with melancholy as he stood up from the ground, his gaze falling onto the mysterious bouquet of white roses which had been left on his mother's grave by an unknown person, the young man presuming it might've been a fan, yet his hunch telling him that it could perhaps be his mother's killer, making him ponder on if he could somehow figure out who the culprit was through those flowers left daily on the grave site as if the killer wasn't already dead.

His mind immediately retracted as he noticed a tall figure walking through the empty grave yard, a young lady with long dark hair, cascading to her waist, her hair bearing tainted hues of blue. She had been wearing a black mask, which she began taking off as she revealed the lip piercing on her lip.

Aqua recognized her instantly, it was Akane, his work girlfriend. A part of him wanted to go up to her and greet her but he couldn't find his voice as he realized that she might not want to speak to him because of the location they were at, yet her gaze seemed soft. The young man still dismissed his thought, as in all honesty, he didn't really want to speak to her himself either.

Their eyes met as the blonde haired young man awkwardly glanced at her momentarily from a distance, finally making his decision to not call her out. Leaving him unsurprised, she ignored him as she walked towards a grave, curiosity striking Aqua as he contemplated who she might've been visiting, sighing as he walked out of the grave yard.

. . .

The young man walked across the vibrant streets of Shibuya as the towering buildings seemed to pulse with life as bright advertisement screens flickered across their surfaces, casting colorful neon hues onto the bustling crowd below.

The sun had subdued, leaving the sky to be pale, hues of purple and a faint blue still lingering as the lights of Shibuya took its place. Aqua had been mindlessly wandering around, his phone in hand, attempting to find a store he was unfamiliar with as he was suddenly aggressively handed a flyer, catching him off guard as he took it, his Cornflower blue eyes meeting the woman's in front of him, instantly realizing that she worked at a maid cafe. Kana had been bullying him to take her to one for quite a while now, but he still could not digest the embarrassment of going to one even with a female friend with him as he silently nodded while the woman stated-

"Visit _______ Cafe sometime!"

Aqua hesitantly asked the woman for assistance as he asked her-

"Uhm- I'm sorry but, do you know where this is?" He nervously asked, pointing his phone at the young woman, her playful and cutesy demeanor dropping as she pointed at the street they had been on.

"Just keep walking, it's on this side walk." She bluntly replied.

"Right- Thank you-" The woman ignored him as she continued to do her job.

. . .

Upon reaching the record store, his soft blue eyes immediately fell onto the bright screen, imprinting a paleish blue hue onto his face, it had been completely dark out by now, being uninterested on whatever was playing on the screen displayed behind the clear glass window of the store, he began taking deliberate steps to the entrance of the shop until his eyes widened, turning back as he realized who's voice he had just heard.

It was Melt, Melt Narushima. The blonde haired young man instinctively walked back to the front window of the record store as he observed in awe, listening intently to the voice of the deep purple haired young man's singing.

Aqua did not exactly think Melt was talentless, well perhaps he did when they first met but, he realized that- He was quite a good singer, his voice held genuine emotional depth, keeping the blonde haired young man almost in a trance as he snapped out of it, being embarrassed by how long he had been standing there, he ran into the store.

Once inside, his face went back to being the standard numb expression he always held, walking around the decently sized record store, attempting to find what he wanted. He was not all too familiar with physically going to record stores as he did not want to go through the emotional turmoil of having teen aged girls witnessing him buying an ungodly amount of photocards of idols while they gave him the 'I know what you are' stare. It wasn't his fault that he liked both male and female idol groups. Aqua just liked fun upbeat music, and also spending way too much money on things he did not need.

The young man sighed in relief as he finally found what he had been looking for, the small rack of B Komachi's new albums CDS as well as the first batch of merch the reboot of the group had gotten. His twin sister, Ruby had been squealing about it practically for months now and as her brother, he felt a smile creep up on his face as he looked at the rack, he held back as he realized that he was happy for once, immediately going back to his stoic self as he picked up a cd nonchalantly, attempting to contain the true excitement he felt for his sister as he picked out a little acrylic keychain of a chibi-fied Ruby as an idol.

As he cradled the two things in his arms he remembered the advertisement, it was for the indie idol group 303's new album. Aqua contemplated on whether he should get it, finding himself headed to the shelf where the album was, picking up each album as he flipped the back and shook it around to see which photocards he wanted. Has he ever gotten a random album before just because he liked the cover or one specific idol and then completely forgot about the entire group? Yes, but this time he could justify it, It was Melt's group. He didn't even know he was an idol, it must be tough to juggle all that, Aqua wondered.

As he finally found the photocard he wanted (that being of Melt of course) he picked up the album and began walking towards the register until his eyes met with the last person he wanted to be face to face with right now.

Upon making eye contact with the dark purple haired young man, he stopped in his footsteps as Melt excitedly walked over to him.

"Oh, Hi Aqua! It's been awhile! I didn't expect somebody like you to be here."

Aqua practically cringed at the last sentence as he attempted to cover 303's album in his hands, making Melt notice it even more easily, now looking dumbfounded.

"Man! You should've told me that your sister liked 303!" Melt chuckled, making Aqua go as red as a tomato.

"Why the hell are you even here-?"

"My manager made all of us stay inside this store all freaking day as a surprise visit! It was hectic. Tomoya and Riku went out to go buy some beer, they're all planning on crashing at Akira's house after this a-" Melt sidetracked as he let out an insecure chuckle.

"Ah, sorry. They're just my band mates. You obviously didn't know what I was blabbering about."

"Huh? It's fine. That sounds fun. Don't get too drunk." Aqua bluntly stated.

"Hey! I'm responsible!"

"I don't believe that for a second."

Melt frowned, taking Aqua's words a little too seriously as he hesitantly spoke up.

"Im really sorry about sweet today and all.. Do you think my acting was passable in Tokyo blade?"

"I liked your scenes in the stage play. You've improved a lot."

"Y-you think so?!"

Aqua chuckled at Melts reaction, finding it endearing.

"You're acting as if I'm speaking in a foreign language."

"Oh right, Who's your sisters favorite member from my group?"

Aqua awkwardly blinked twice, Melt really wasn't going to let go of this topic and Aqua was no way in hell telling Melt that the album was his.

"You, I guess."

"And you never told me?!"

"Jeez you're so loud."

"Let me sign the album then!"

Aqua hesitantly handed the album to melt, the purple haired young man pulling out a marker from his pocket, before he could doodle on the packaging Aqua stopped him.

"Aren't you going to sign the actual album-?"

"Shit, you're right. You're good with this stuff. Didn't expect that from you."

"You're an idol! You should at least know how to sign albums properly! That's the bare minimum!!"

Melt chuckled at Aquas clear frustration as he pulled out the album from its packaging, doodling his signature onto the album as well as writing '303' onto it.

Notes:

I was planning on writing this fic mid way in April because I'm quite busy at the moment but I got too excited and wrote a quick first chapter in like 2 hours 💀

Also Melt is 18 in my au since I thought it would suit him being an idol more but his band mates are all a little older than him and Aqua is going to turn 17 (in a future chapter hehehehe)

And as you can probably tell, my fanfic will have ocs ! :)
