Chapter Text
Foreword ; this fic might have some inconstancies with the actual show as I haven’t finished it yet but am nearly there :3
Karma and Nagisa have moved out of home, at only 16 they had their own little apartment that was only a block away from the high school they were going to together. They still had a fortnight till school started up, which they were going to have to use to unpack they rest of there belongings.
Nagisa leant on Karmas shoulder, snuggling as the two of them sat on Karmas bed. Karma ran his hand through Nagisa’s hair, it was no longer long and girlie like his mother had always had him wear it.
“I preferred it when you had long hair, you looked so cute,” Karma muttered, “you’re still cute, but now in a handsome way.”
“As long as I look like a boy it doesn’t matter to me,” Nagisa sighed. He knew he was still rather feminine but at least now people could tell he was male.
“You need a manly hair cut,” Karma pointed out, “at the moment you look like one of the main characters of a slice-of-life yaoi manga. Like that one manga, whats it called… Seaside Stranger?, Stranger by the Shore? Its called something like that.”
“Really? I didn’t know you were into reading BL,” Nagisa teased.
“I just read it for the smut!” Karma shot back defensively.
“Ha! Sure you do!”
. . .
Nagisa opened the fridge, hunger biting a his stomach. As the door slid open he was greeted by a desolate wastleland. /Dammit! We’re out of groceries, guess I’ve gotta go shopping/ he frowned.
“Karma! I’m gonna go shopping! You wanna come?” He called out.
“Uh- Sure!” Karma shouted back from the other room.
They went down to the supermarket that was only a short walk away.
“Why don’t we get you a knew hair cut and then grab some ice cream!” Karma suggested.
“You really think my hair cut is that bad?”
“You cut it yourself, just get a barber to touch it up a bit, a lil trim.”
“Hmm, thats a good idea, maybe I should.” Nagisa smiled.
Nagisa sat down in the barbers shop.
“What would you like sir?” The barber asked
He smiled, /sir/, he’d been called sir! The barber hadn’t even hesitated when addressing him as such! “I’d like a smal trim please, and please try your best to get rid of my bad job at attempting to do my hair.”
The barber nodded and got to work, Karma watched from the couch behind him, occasionally looking down to scroll on his phone.
When he was done Nagisa did look much better.
“Thanks!” He murmured and blushed as handing over his payment and a small tip.
They walked out together, holding hands, Karma led him to an Ice cream stall. Karma grabbed a strawberry flavoured ice cream, and Nagisa got a mint-choc-chip one.
They sat down on a bench together, the sun in the distance began to set, casting an orange glow unto the world. Karma wrapped an arm around him and pulled him closer, shielding him from the chilly breeze that was in the air.
Nagisa looked up at his friend, “He Karma” he began, capturing his attention.
He glanced at him, leaning in slightly. Nagisa leant forward, pressing his lips to Karma’s, drawing back a few seconds later. “You taste like strawberries.” He chuckled.
“And you taste like mint,” Karma blushed and wiped his mouth with his sleeve. “I wasn’t expecting that, you’re not usually so forward.”
Nagisa smiled, “we should probably get home, I’ll make dinner.”
Karma nodded.
