Chapter Text
Deep within the liminal space known only by creation, gentle hands took hold of a child and pulled him from the fabric of Night. That most ancient and revered mother cradled a boy undoubtedly her own, with eyes that shone like the pale dawn and hair the colour of seafoam tinted stardust.
“Have you a name, my child?” Nyx asked the newest of her offspring, her warm countenance unmoved by the shudders of the world around them.
“Freodore” he replied, in the same sotto voce; the answer taken reflexively from countless futures seen and unseen.
Night’s smile brightened, suffused into transcendent nebulae, ever delighted by the wonder of her children. “This world welcomes you, Freodore.”
A fourth set of hands now reach for the threads spun upon the Moirai’s loom, the inexplicable birth of Nyx’s youngest child beyond even the understanding of his all seeing sisters.
Such was the advent of Choice upon the crossroads of Fate.
