Chapter Text
Michaamazing2 has joined the world.
Micha looked around at the world he had created on the new laptop he’d been gifted from his dad. He was ecstatic, having wanted to play Minecraft for years at that point and now finally being able to. He quickly figured out the controls and then went to explore his new world.
He had spawned in a forest biome and quickly made work of punching a few trees to gather some logs to make some basic tools. He didn’t want to go exploring without materials, after all. He jumped as he sprinted, unable to contain his excitement as he wandered around. Every little flower he saw took up his attention as he studied the pretty blooms. He couldn’t help but collect a few as he passed by them, wanting to place them by his future house.
Every time he’d pass an animal, he’d take a moment to crouch at them with a wide smile, hoping to convey that he was friendly. Micha figured he would have to find an alternative for food because he really didn’t want to kill such cute animals.
As he finally came out of the forest biome, he came across the plains. His eyes scanned the horizon, widening as he spotted the outline of an oak house in the distance. He sprinted, wanting to see what it was, his excitement and curiosity obvious with the way his eyes shone. His head wings flapped in excitement as he realized he had found a village.
Perfect! Micha thought, excitedly, realizing this was just what he needed for food.
The little avian quickly located the village’s gardens and started to loot them for food. He picked up wheat, potatoes, and his all-time favorite, carrots. He decided then and there that he would make a carrot farm for his source of food. Once he had looted everything he could, he started back into the plains to find a place to settle.
He decided that he would build a little house in the plains, right by the forest, so that he wouldn’t have to go too far if he ever needed more wood. So, he found a pretty little spot and started building a small, square oak wood house. It wasn’t the fanciest build ever, but Micha was proud of his little home.
Once he finished his home, Micha set out to work on his farm, not wanting to run out of food. He made a hoe and a bucket with some iron he had found at the village’s blacksmith, gathered some sand to make glass, and got to work. He built a little greenhouse, making sure there was plenty of water so that crops could grow, and started to plant his carrots in neat little lines.
By the time he was done, he was so proud of himself and his builds. He couldn’t help the way his chest puffed up in pride or how his wings fluttered a little in confidence. He wasn’t oblivious to the way his eyelids drooped just the slightest, however. He looked to the sky, noticing the sun starting to dip below the horizon.
Not wanting to deal with mobs, Micha went back inside his house to sleep, only to realize he had forgotten to get wool for a bed. He winced, realizing he was going to have to deal with mobs if he wanted to get a bed now. So, gathering his courage, he stepped out of the house and started towards the forest where he had seen sheep earlier.
While his luck in the village had been great, it was becoming apparent to Micha that his luck was quickly running out. An arrow whizzed past, making Micha’s wings flare out as a startled squeak left him. He skidded to a halt right in front of a skeleton, staring at it as it redrew its bow.
Micha couldn’t get his sword out in time; he was panicking a little too much. His breath caught as he saw the arrow fire from the corner of his eye. His eyes squeezed shut, bracing for the impact.
It never hit him.
When he opened his eyes, he was in a different part of the forest, with an abundance of sheep right in front of him. He took a moment, trying to calm his frantic heart and quick breaths from the fear and adrenaline. Once he had calmed down enough that his hands no longer shook, he reached for his sword and killed three sheep. No more, no less, not wanting to needlessly harm the cute creatures.
Once he had enough wool, he started back off through the forest, trying to find his way back home. He moved quickly, not wanting to run into any more hostile mobs. He didn’t know if his heart would be able to handle another scare. Luckily, it seemed wherever he had been teleported was closer to the edge of the forest, as he found the plains quite quickly. He breathed a sigh of relief as he saw the light of his torches in the distance, starting towards it.
Micha threw open his front door, closing it behind him as quickly as he could before any mobs could follow him in. He started towards his crafting table, immediately starting to make a bed. While crafting, however, he heard the sound of his front door opening. His head snapped up at the sound, immediately looking to the door.
It was open, but nothing was there.
Micha tilted his head, confused. “...Hello?”
He didn’t receive an answer, and so he cautiously made his way to the front door to close it again. Once it was closed, he turned his attention back to his crafting table, starting back on making a bed. Only to hear the front door open again.
Micha paused for a moment, realizing he had a door and could trick whoever was messing with him back. He placed the door and opened it, keeping his eyes trained on the front door. Sure enough, he saw a completely black half of a leg with a gold chain on the ankle, half of a torso, and an arm come into view.
Micha’s wings flared as he quickly moved towards the entity, not wanting the entity to run again. To his surprise, however, the entity didn’t run, letting Micha run right up to him.
“Hi,” Micha smiled. The entity didn’t seem hostile, so Micha decided he wouldn’t be either. Plus, he was excited to see someone he could befriend. “Who are you?”
Now that Micha was looking closer, he noticed the entity had a bandanna with a feather attached to it around what should be his neck. The feather was pretty, in Micha’s opinion, a white feather that faded into a deep black. If he looked close enough, he could even see faint striping on it, almost like a snowy owl’s feathers. Micha also noticed that around where the entity’s visible leg was, where there should be a hip, a gun was resting at his side.
“Reject,” The entity, Reject, responded. His voice was deep, his tone containing something bittersweet in it.
“Nice to meet you!” Micha smiled, bright. “I’m Micha Tanner!”
