Idia has been in his room playing on his computer ever since the school day ended. He’s been playing a specific genre of games called “otome” for years now, but he'd never admit it. Even his little brother, Ortho, isn't allowed to look at his search history.
Though, there is one person who could view the Idia Shroud doing such things. Who could've thought someone other than Idia would see that?
Malleus Draconia.
He and Idia have been dating for about 5 months now. They may seem like complete opposites of each other, but that might just be why they go so well together. Like Yin and Yang, they complete each other and make one another whole.
Now, back to the whole otome game thing, otome games are known for being story-based Japanese romance video games for women. You might say “but Idia isn't a girl!” When has that ever stopped him?
Idia was scrolling through his games trying to choose the perfect one when he stumbled upon Obey Me.
“Perfect, I haven't played this game in a while.”
“What's perfect, Shroud?”
Huh?
“EEEK!” Idia yelled and jumped back in his chair at the sight of a reflection in his monitor. Idia quickly spun his chair around in fear, though it slowly died down as he realized who it was.
“Malleus, um..what are you doing in my top secret hideout?”
“Hideout? Secret? You mean your room? Well, I supposed I'd stop by to see what you were doing.” Malleus responded, smiling softly at Idia.
“Right..well, make yourself at home, I guess.”
Malleus obliges and goes to sit down on Idia's bed, still smiling at him. “Shroud, could you sit with me instead? I shall allow you to play your games still.” He lays back against the wall and pats the spot beside him.
“Huh? Uh, dude, this is totally awkward. You're gonna make me lose all of my dignity by doing that.” And yet, he still goes and does what his boyfriend requested of him, bringing his phone along.
Idia quickly turns on his phone and opens Obey Me, completing his daily login.
“What game is that?” Malleus questions, pointing at the phone screen.
“Heheh, you're such a noobie..well, I suppose I, an OG, will tell you. This is an otome game called Obey Me where you play as a female and you get to romance other characters,” he rambles on, “I romanced Belphegor because—”
Malleus listens as Idia goes on and on about the game.
“—and now, he's all like ‘I want all of you’ and it very much knocked me out of my seat and had me giggling like what! I mean, I've seen worse, heheh.”
His rant finally comes to an end as he looks back at Malleus to find him sulking.
“So you date other men?”
Idia immediately sits up. “WHAT! I mean, in the game, yes..but not in real life, Malleus. It's just fiction.”
“But you're still dating other men.”
“No – I mean, yes! But—” Idia groans as he still doesn't get it. “They're not real, plus, they don't even compare to you so quit your sulking.” The tips of his hair flush a deep pink.
“Now, I was planning on making an epic gameplay for my online accomplice. I need to work on that, can you sit still and let me work on it?” He questions.
Malleus sighs. “Yes, Shroud.” He turns his head away sadly.
Idia quickly leans in and presses his lips against the fae man's cheeks, giving him a peck. He stands up and walks over to his desk to begin his task.
The fae man blushes softly as he looks back at Idia, his stretched out shirt falling off his shoulder as he slouches in his chair.

As he starts recording, Malleus suddenly stands up from the bed and exits the room. Is he mad? He thinks to himself.
Idia logins to the game and skips the intro. This is going to be a long gameplay..
A couple hours pass and Idia is finally done with the gameplay he wanted to show his online friend Muscle Red. He opens the DM with them and sends the video.

<Gloomurai> yeah no prob
He exits out of the DM and sits up from his chair to stretch. He spots an energy drink on his desk and drinks it, quickly regretting it though as it tastes like straight up ass.
“Ew, how long has this been here?”
Idia opens his door and walks out to try and find his fae boyfriend. As he shuts the door he feels a presence behind him.
“Shroud.”
“EEEEK!” Idia screams, and jumps into the person's arms. He turns his head slowly to look at their face.
“Malleus! Again with the jumpscares. I'm like a poor soul in a horror game..”
“My apologies—” a loud sound can be heard. “Oh, my tamagotchi needs to be fed.” The fae states.
Malleus sets Idia down on his feet before grabbing the tamagotchi from his pocket and begins to feed it by pressing one of the buttons on the toy.
Idia grabs his hand and drags him back into the room, shutting the door behind them.
“I can't stand being out of here, I need to lay down.”
He crawls onto his bed and plops down, his shirt falling off his shoulder even more. He turns his head and stares at Malleus playing with his tamagotchi.
“Hey, um..” Idia starts out. The fae quickly puts the toy away and sits down on the bed.
“Yes?”
“Did I make you mad earlier? For – um, dating people in the game?” He hides his face into the pillow, the tips of his hair turning a light pink.
“Ah, I suppose I was just..” he trails off, “No, you didn't make me mad. I just don't like the idea of you dating anyone else.” He responds, playing with the strands of his hair.
Malleus begins to sit closer to him, pulling Idia into his chest. The blue haired man's face begins to flush.
“This is so cringe. It's like an awkward confession scene in anime.” Idia mutters, closing his eyes.
There's a moment of silence between the two before Malleus speaks up.
“I love you, Shroud.”
He doesn't respond for a minute, processing the words that have been spoken.
“..Ilyt..”
Idia opens his eyes and looks up at his boyfriend, who happens to be looking down at him as well.
Malleus slowly leans down and kisses him, leaving Idia in shock. Though, surely enough, Idia begins to kiss back, leaving the embarrassment behind.
