Flower Hole, Mt.Ebott
"Ughh... my back... Michiru? Are you good?" The light grey humanoid wolf asked in the aether, laying on his back on the flowerbed.
"Maybe... No..." Anwsered tanuki "Remind me Shirou, why have you agreed for me to go on this expedition?"
"Becouse i knew you would go no matter what, and i want to keep an eye on you."
"Fair enough." Michiru turns her head around, checking the surroundings. There is a big... tunel? "There's something more here." She slowly goes in.
Shirou lifts his head. "Wait! We don't know what could be ahead!" He quickly stands up, catching up. The tunel ends with some sort of gate. " . . . Man made structures? In the cave?" Shirou quickly changes forms. "I can smell many animals down here. But what's that second scent?" He asks concerned.
"We won't know if we'll stand here!" She pulls Shirou with her.
The tunel opens to bigger chamber, with patch of grass in the middle. Sudenly, from nowhere, frog-like creature aproaches, pulling these two into some type of trans. Whole surroundings flash few times before turning to black and white, with some sort of interface before them. "*Froggit hops into the fight." is displayed on the panel, with four orange buttons underneath, saying FIGHT, ACT, ITEM and MERCY, with some energetic music playing seamingly from everywhere at once. Michiru touches the ACT button, witch presents her three options: Check, Threat and Compliment. She chooses the first option. The text on the panel changes to "*Froggit AT:4 DF:5 *Life is difficult for this enemy."
"Get from our way, we're in a hurry." Threatens Shirou.
"*The Froggit did not understand, but i they seem scared." Then, big goat lady shows up, shooing the "Froggit" away. The world quickly fades to normal colours, with no trace of that frog or that weird music.
"Excuse them, they're just intrested to see some new faces. My name is Toriel, i'm caretaker of the Ruins." Shirou, feeling no bad intentions against themself, changed back to his human form.
"You are not Monsters." Toriel gasped in shock "You are Huma-"
Shirou looked her in the eyes with anger "I'm Not. A Human."
"We are Beastmen. Something like humans, but we can change forms to look more like animals." Michiru adds quickly.
"Oh... Excuse me for my mistake then. You may forget a thing or two about Surface after all of this time behind The Barrier." Toriel says politely "Oh, i almost forgot, what are your names?"
"Michiru."
"Shirou."
"Great. Follow me, I will show you the way around the catacombs." They go forward.
"Beastmen, huh?" Flowey mutters to himself. He has been watching the action from behind the pillars. "That makes things much more intresting. Well, the trap has been set, so let's prepare for the show." He quickly sunk up back to the ground.
Two Beastmen and a Goat Monster arived at the first puzzle. It's six preasure plates and a switch on the wall. "The Ruins are full of Puzzles. They are ancient fusions between diversions and doorkeys. One must solve them to move from room to room."
Michiru reads the sign. "*Only the fearless may proceed. Brave ones, foolish ones. Both walk not the middle road." "Ohh, i see." She goes on four corner plates, and pulls the switch. The door opens.
"Splendid, Michiru. We may proceed to the next room then." Shirou could swear he could see something in corner of his eye when he looked back.
"This Puzzle requies you to trigger several switches to make progress here. Do not worry, I have labelled the ones that you need to flip."
Michiru quickly solves this Puzzle, but after pulling second switch, nothing happened. "That's weird. I was sure i labeled the good one. Try other one."
As soon as Michiru pulls the third switch, the floor beneath her cracks and she falls down. "Damn it, You really must get yourself into trouble that fast?" Asks Shirou, after wich he jumps after her, leaving Toriel alone with her toughts.
