Chapter one cheif of security’s new secretary
The DS corps security floor was silent a world away from the R and D labs everything was gray and white up here and and everything was organised with precision you felt out of place your brain running many possibility as you made your way to shinazugawas office it was a quiet walk and your brain was buzzing with ideas on how to introduce yourself you walk slow not wanting to rush but you want to get there you make your way to the chiefs office and knock you wait a minute and then there is a gruff "enter" you walk in and its neat to neat for your liking but you don't question you introduce yourself "good morning I'm (Y/N)(L/N) I'm your new secretary" He looked up from a stack of files, his eyes sharp and scarred, scanning you with a clinical intensity that made the quiet office feel suddenly cramped. This was Sanemi Shinazugawa—a man whose reputation for being volatile was well-documented in the DS Corps HR files. “Secretary,” he repeated, the word sounding like a grit of sand between his teeth. He tossed a heavy folder onto the desk with a dull thud. “I don't need a secretary. I need people who can keep up and keep their mouths shut. R&D sent you? They usually send the soft ones.” He leaned back, his chair creaking in the sterile silence. His gaze dropped to your hands, then back to your face, searching for a flicker of hesitation. “You’ve got thirty seconds to tell me why you’re still standing there instead of running back to the labs,” he challenged, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous rasp. “Because in this department, ‘organized’ isn't just a look—it’s how we stay alive. If you're going to be my shadow, you'd better be a fast learner.” You took a breath, the "buzzing ideas" in your head finally settling into a single, firm resolve. You didn't flinch. You stepped forward, closing the distance to the desk, and reached for the folder he had just tossed. “Then we’re wasting time, Chief,” you replied, your voice steadier than you felt. “Where do you want the incident reports filed?” For a fleeting second, the harsh line of his mouth twitched—not quite a smile, but a glimmer of grim approval. He gestured vaguely toward a high-tech terminal to his left. “Start there. And don’t touch anything else.” The door hissed shut behind you, sealing you into the gray-and-white world of the Security Chief. The quiet was gone, replaced by the heavy, unspoken weight of the work ahead. You weren't just a secretary; you were now the only person standing between Sanemi Shinazugawa and the chaos he lived to control
