Chapter Text
I was walking home after buying a new copy of the latest Monster Hunter Stories title. Excited to get home and play, I hadn't noticed the bright pink flower petals starting to surround me. When I did notice, I couldn't see anything other than vibrant pink.
"What the? What's going on?" I asked, I tried not to freak out at the swarm of pink petals. It was so blinding, I couldn’t tell right from left.
"Worry not, for I have summoned you before me." The voice was calming, kind, and melodious. The pedals fell slowly, and before I knew it, I was standing in front of a goddess, but not just any goddess. The Greek Goddess of Strategic War and Wisdom, Lady Athena. I quickly drop to a knee, bowing before her.
"Lady Athena, how may I serve you?" I said, keeping my head low and humble. A soft hum of surprise and pride comes from Athena.
"Raise thy head, mortal, I have much to tell you," Athena said as she gently placed a hand on my shoulder. I look up to her as she is now just a bit taller than I am. Gesturing for me to stand, I do so as she wishes.
"My family and I have heard of this entertainment you mortals call 'Isekai anime', and we decided to make a wager amongst ourselves. I choose a mortal who is still loyal to me, and we each give them a power that will combine into one singular power with multiple abilities. Then we send that mortal to a world of their choosing and see how they affect it compared to the original timeline. Do you understand?" Athena asked. I nodded, amazed that I was chosen and curious about what the power would be like. Athena smiled, as if she knew what I was thinking.
"You are curious about the power; it will be something of your choosing as well. But more of your mind, heart, and soul choosing. Now go, choose a new name and Identity, find love, and hopefully change that world for the better." Athen said with a dramatic wave of her arm. I had realized that the goddess I worshiped for most of my life had a bit of a dramatic side. Only making me respect her more.
Before I knew it, I was hit by a flash of light and standing in a very familiar junkyard on a beach. The only thing was that about half of the trash was already gone. A beautiful sunrise was just starting to peek over the horizon.
'alright, I know this beach. It seems that it's halfway done. So, about five months until the UA entrance exam. So, good news, I'm in My Hero Academia. But the big question was still. Will I be able to understand Japanese, or will there be a language barrier?’ I thought before I heard someone moving behind me. My question was answered when I heard a strong, familiar voice behind me.
"Excuse me, young man, I didn't see you arrive here." I turned around to see All Might in his skinny form. He must have noticed me when he got here, but hopefully didn't see me appearing from a bright light. It would have been pretty problematic if he had discovered my real identity too early. So I smiled warmly and bowed lightly.
"I'm sorry, sir, I just noticed the view when I was walking a bit ago. And thought it was a nice job, clearing all of the trash. I'm sorry if I was hard to notice. I was a bit of a ninja fanboy growing up in the States. Old pre-quirk movies, I would practice as a kid until...well, now it's second nature to move quietly." I said, feigning ignorance of the beach and who he was. A smile spreads across All Might's face. Letting out a small chuckle.
"Ah, I see, you wanted to become a ninja as a child due to those old romanticized ninja movies. It seems to have stuck well. But yes, my young protégé is the one clearing the beach as training." All Might said with a bit of pride in his voice.
"All Mi-um, uh!" A familiar voice said as I turned and saw Izuku Midoriya, his clothes baggy. Messy, dark green hair, emerald eyes, and diamond freckles, and all. I decided to mess with him a bit. I looked confused.
"All Mi? Nope, sorry, no Mi here, I'm Kamurai Kaito, but you can call me Kaito if you want." I said, acting as if I had no idea what he was about to say. I heard All Might sigh softly in relief, most likely thinking he kept his secret safe.
"What can I call you?"I asked as I held out my hand to him in a sign of friendship. Izuku slowly took my hand and shook it.
"M-Midoriya I-Izuku, it's n-nice to meet you," Izuku said with a small blush, but a friendly smile. I nodded as we both looked at All Might.
"You mentioned the United States. Have you been here long?" All Might asked, looking a bit worried. I shook my head with a sheepish smile.
"You could say, I just arrived. I don't even have a place to stay yet, nor a way to make money." I said, scratching the back of my head. All Might and Izuku looked troubled by my words. They thought for a moment, then All Might looked at me.
"You seem to be the same age as Young Midoriya here. Perhaps I can help with your conundrum." All Might said as he gestured for us to follow him.

The next thing I knew, I was being brought to a small apartment complex. Lucky for me, the Gods that sent me here had given me a bag with new Identification, a bit of money, some clothes, and some "well-preserved" pre-quirk books on mythology and monsters. One look at the ladder confirmed my theory; it was a special "Monstie-pedia" from the Monster Hunter Stories series. All Might helped me with setting up my first month. Thankfully, I had enough money to pay for rent and food. After thanking All Might, I decided to sit in the living room of my new apartment and try to locate my power.
After around an hour or so, I felt something appear on the back of my right hand. When I looked, I saw a Kinship stone, but instead of either of the designs from the games, it resembled a Rathalos-style Dino Brace from Abaranger, with the glow of the stone emanating from the eye and mouth when opened. I held up my hand and opened the mouth of the Rathalos head. Suddenly, two creatures appeared in swirls of leaves. A sleek dog-like creature, as well as a brownish cat on two legs with darker brown stripes. A Palamute and a Palico, respectively.
"Hello Meowster, it's great to meet mew. Do you have names for us?" The Palico said as she gave a small bow and a cute smile. I gave the adorable bipedal cat a scratch behind her ears. I nodded and named the Palamute 'Kakashi' and the Palico 'Miku'. After that, I decided to rest to get a jump on Job hunting in the morning, as well as training and figuring out my new power.
