*a bicycle sound is heard as toodles happily rides down the projector room.*
Day by day, Gardenview increasingly became more miserable and isolating. At least to Connie. The ghost became mentally drained the more she interacted with friends, yet no one noticed except for her partner Gigi. The gachapon could see the tired and upset expression Connie desperately tried to hide, so of course they confront their girlfriend.
Poppy and Flutter were having a good conversation so Gigi pulled Connie aside away from them quick. "Hey, you good? You've been veery distant lately and you look miserable." Connie felt sick. "Yeah I just been tired y'know? Dont worry about me." Connie smiled. The gachapon felt a little less worried, but still felt like Connie was hiding something. "Connie...I love you, ok?" Silence fell upon them. "I love you too." Connie kissed Gigi softly. An energetic feminine voice interrupted them. "Sorry to interrupt, but I gotta leave so I can get ready for the run thats later!" Poppy told them.
The four decided it was time to leave. "Hey guys, lets meet up here again tonight!" Gigi really didnt want to leave Connie alone today as they had a really bad feeling about it for some reason. The other three agreed to meet later which made Gigi feel better.

~a couple hours pass by~
Connie layed in her bed on the verge of tears. She stayed in her room the past couple hours because talking to anyone was just so utterly draining. She felt like shit after making Gigi worried. God why couldn't she be a better girlfriend let alone even a friend?? She had no special talent besides going invisible, why was she so popular among the other halloween toons? Her brother was more useful.
Those bad thoughts continued to plague her mind. No one else besides Gigi seemed to care about her avoidance. Everyday at Gardenview felt like the same stupid day on loop and Connie had to put up with it over and over again. She wanted a way out.
she needed to figure out how to will herself out of existence.
She saw a bottle of pills on her dresser. She had grabbed those one time hoping she'd feel better after taking them. Connie floated to her dresser and held the bottle in her hand.
"Dont do it." She told herself. She remembered that Gigi wanted her and the others to hang out soon. She didnt feel like hanging out with them. How would Gigi feel about this!? She's a shitty girlfriend. She's fucking selfish for this. The bad thoughts continued spiraling as she opened the bottle and sat on her bed. Connie finally complied with it.
She gave it a try. She closed her eyes. She didnt know how it'd feel, she just hoped that it wouldn't hurt.
It almost worked.
Gigi, Poppy, and Flutter sat at the same spot as earlier, waiting for Connie. Gigi grew more worried as the minutes ticked by. Poppy spoke up.
"I think you should go find Connie, shes really starting to worry me with how distant she's been." Flutter nodded in agreement.
"Let me know if she comes here." The gachapon wasted no time heading up to Connie's room. They barged in her room seeing Connie almost unconscious on the bed.
"Connie! Are you ok? We've been waiting for you downstairs!" Connie looked up at Gigi with regret and self hatred in her eyes along with redness suggesting she was going to turn twisted.
she started to cry.
Gigi's heart dropped as they found the empty pill bottle. "No no no Connie no..... NO!!" Gigi broke down and started panicking.
Their screams were noticed by Cosmo and Sprout who were in the hall.
"Is everything ok!? Sprout came in and all Gigi could do was cry and point at the bottle. Realizing the seriousness and urgency of the situation, Sprout ran to Connie.
"We need to get her care downstairs!!!"

Connie layed in the hospital bed in Gardenview's medical section. Gigi had been sobbing the past 10 minutes while their brother Finn comforted them. Cosmo came out of the room.
"Well shes not a twisted thankfully, she's only unconscious right now."
Gigi looked up at him with relief. Word had got out about Connie's attempt and soon the hospital room was surrounded by a lot of toons outside the door. Seeing how overwhelmed Gigi was as everyone kept asking them questions and trying to comfort them, Astro spoke up.
"Can everyone please head back to your activities, what happened to Connie is unfortunate but she should be awake soon." As people started to leave, Astro peared inside the room. They wish they said something sooner as they've noticed how depressing her dreams got.
About an hour passed. Gigi and Finn were now sitting the hospital room now accompanied by Soulvester, Flutter, and Poppy. Connie began to wake up and the gachapon immediately walked over to her bed followed by Soulvester.
"Connie?" Gigi gently held the ghost's hand. Once Connie gained a little more consciousness, she looked up at Gigi and Soulvester who were BOTH crying.
"I'm so sorry." Was all Connie said at the moment. After this Gigi was NOT letting Connie sleep alone for a while.
Well at least it could've been worse. And it almost worked.
