Courtilly was awoken by her door being opened and a voice shouting her name. It was Janet.
“Come on, we have to go. Right now,” Court wasn’t even given time to change before she was being pulled from the dorm building and escorted onto a shuttle. Junk and Apple were already there and looked like they had also been woken up in a rush.
“Where’s Platy?” Court asked and peered out the window, looking desperately for any sign of her friend.

Platy hadn’t been able to sleep that night, just something in his gut was wrong. So he found himself sitting at the pond where they had found Jeremy's body. Sure it was cold, it was the end of December afterall.
“Maybe I’m crazy,” He muttered and pulled his knees to his chest. He closed his eyes, trying to keep himself calm. The bad feeling hadn’t gone away but telling someone else would mean they thought he was crazy.

“Coming,” Hafu responded and stepped off the shuttle. She gave a signal and it took off down the street.
“Wait, we’re leaving him?” Apple asked, looking almost as panicked as Court felt. “That can’t be right,”
“He wasn’t in his room,” Junk said. “Believe me I didn’t want to abandon the kid but I had no clue where he was when DK asked,”
“What’s going on?” Court asked, never in their time there had they been woken up and brought to a shuttle like this. They quickly arrived in town and got to a hotel. A woman was standing there, one they didn’t recognize.
“Hello you three, I’m Wolfabelle, inside quickly,” She said and ushered them in. “Sit down and wait for us,” She was being sweet and soon enough 5up came in. His face was unreadable but he spoke to Wolfabelle for a few seconds before turning to address the three cadets.
“We apologize for waking you all up but we received a bomb threat on campus and figured it was better to pull you all away,”
“What about Platy?” Court demanded.
“Platy is fine, he’s on his way with the other teachers,” Court frowned at 5up but accepted that answer. Where could that idiot have been to cause such a panic?

He really wasn’t sure how long he had been asleep but he was aware of being shook awake by Apollo. Hafu stood next to him and they both looked concerned.
“Come on, get up Platy. We have to go,” Apollo said and dragged him to his feet. Platy was still waking up so he moved a little slower than the two teachers.
“Through the woods, that might be the easiest way to get to town,” Hafu said and Apollo nodded. Platy followed them in confusion when he heard a loud noise go off and he was thrown off his feet.

“Great, at least we get to be roommates?” Apple asked as Court sat down on a bed. “You ok?”
“Shouldn’t they have been here already?” She asked Apple, the other cadet hugged her tightly and there was a knock on the door. Apple answered it and Junk stepped into the room.
“The teachers are being secretive,” Junk said as he leaned against a wall. He had a cup of coffee in one of his hands. “I don’t like it,”

“Ow,” Platy groaned as he woke up. His head hurt and it felt like someone had shot him. “What happened?”
“Oh good, you’re awake,” Janet looked relieved and Platy realized he had no clue where they were. The bed he was laying on was soft and different than the one he was used to. “How you feeling?”
“I just said ‘ow’ didn’t I?”
“Well if you can be sarcastic then that’s a good thing,” Janet let out a sigh. “You, Apollo, and Hafu all got caught in the tail end of the explosion on campus. Thankfully there were no big injuries,”
“Right,” He was silent for a few moments. “Can I leave? Am I stuck here?”
“This is going to be your room this year. Your roommate will arrive after break,” Janet explained and Platy nodded. “Find me if you have any issues,” Janet left after giving him some painkillers and he just lay there for a while.

“Platy?” Court knocked on the door to the room. “Can you open the door for me?” After a few minutes Court resigned herself to the fact that she was either at the wrong room or Platy didn’t want to see her.
“Huh?” The door opened and there stood a very exhausted looking man. She hugged him tightly and he hugged her back. “I’m fine Court,”
“I’m coming in,”
“You aren’t even giving me a choice, huh?”
“Why would I?” She asked and dropped down onto the unclaimed bed. She didn’t really care whose it was going to be. “You ready for everyone else to get here tomorrow?”
“Court, my body actively wants me to die at the moment. No I’m not ready,”
“I’m sure you’ll be fine. I have Apple as a roommate,” Court was trying to distract Platy, knowing how tired he might be from getting caught in an explosion. Platy nodded and Courtilly frowned at him. “What did we learn today, Platy?”
“Not to leave the dorm in the middle of the night and go sit by the pond?” He asked and she nodded. “Just couldn’t sleep. I had a bad feeling but thought I was just going crazy,” He explained.
“Next time say something. Ok?” She asked and he nodded.
“Classes are gonna suck. Janet said it’d take a few weeks before I feel back to normal. If I go back to normal,”
“If?”
“Yeah, she said there could be last effects? Like PTSD or chronic pain if I get so unlucky,”
“At least the teachers will give you grace if that does happen,” Court tried to give him the positivity the normally happy guy was missing.
“I don’t know. I just wanna go back to sleep,” She laughed and moved to his bed.
“Then I will join you,” Platy smiled at her and she let him fall asleep while watching TV.
