“SHUT THE FUCK UP!! GOD!!” They yelled at their reflection, “NO!! IM NOT LIKE THEM. Fuck. Shit.”
They turned away from the mirror, hyperventilating. It was another one of those nights. They couldn’t breathe or think clearly. They didn’t want to hurt, not again. Everyone was so worried.
Kyoko was worried, so was Jim and Monty. Griefer was on their back about it… Terry never showed it, but he was worried too. And even the cruel king was anxious….
They stared down at their hands. They were shaking. Of course. They couldn’t be still for one second.
And even worse, they could’ve sworn their hands felt warm, like there was blood coating it.
….
They needed to lay down. All that stress was making their head spin. It’s not like they could control how long their legs would be able to keep them upright.
Parker gently lowered themself to the floor, taking off their hoodie and turning it into a makeshift pillow. It all felt dizzying. The way their stomach churned at every reflective object they owned, the way their legs shook every time they passed a mirror, and how they just wanted to never wake up from everytime they passed out.
It was sickening. They felt weak and they couldn’t even do anything about it. But… maybe they could. But then they’d have to burden someone else.
It felt nice having more than three options this time. It proved to the. That more people cared for them now.
…
“AH” they yelped, seeing hatred—builderman? Hatredman, standing over them.
“Do you think help is coming?” They crooned, “do you think they *care*?”
“You don’t know shit.” They retaliated. Their voice felt more real than the fucker looming over them. Their throat felt raw and ached even though they didn’t do a lot of talking today.
“I do know “shit”, my heart.”
“Don’t fucking call me that—“ they choked, coughing into their hands.
“…Regardless.” It raised its eyebrows, “Do you think any of them *want* to help you?” They knelt down by them, “be honest, don’t you think they despise you for being them into this mess?”
“I…”
Before Parker could finish their thought, the red bastard had smoothly transformed into their best friend griefer “1f 1t w3r3’nt f0r y0u, 1 w0uld’v3 b3c0m3 th3 n3xt V3n0msh4nk gu4rd14n.”
“Well— part of that was—“
The image had changed into account Jim’s “what use am I to you? All I am is just a fanboy. It would’ve been better for me to stay under that rubble”
“Don’t say that— you—“
Then it turned into Kyoko… oh, Kyoko… “did you ever plan on telling me that my sisters alive!? Did you ever plan on telling me anything!? I thought you loved me. I wish we never met.”
“Sunshine… I…” tears pricked their eyes as they watched it transform into Finn McCool.
“….”
“…”
“You. You left me. Right when things were getting good. Do you know how much of an asshole you have to be to ditch your boyfriend? HUH!? DID YOU EVER THINK ABOUT HOW I FELT!?”
Parker wanted to flinch. They were paralyzed, absolutely frozen where they laid.
“I’m sorry—“ they managed to choke out
“Sorry won’t be enough asshat. You had this coming you know. All. Of. It. Is your fault.”
Parker’s eyes, while tearing up, fluttered close as they watched Finn (?) walk away. Their chest felt like large needles surrounding their heart, ready to pierce if anything they just saw was proven true. It hurt. It hurt so much, they wanted to tell everyone how much they loved them, how much they cared.
But they couldn’t. For now, they were asleep.
…
Their mind flitted between dreams, nightmares, and nothingness. How long were they out for? Why did their head hurt so badly?
They blearily opened their eyes, feeling something cold on their forehead.
“…?” They blinked, the room was too bright.
“Hey, Player..” kyoko whispered, her hand lowering to their cheek.
They leaned into her hand, as if checking if she was real.
“You alright?”
“Mm… no. Not really.” They sniffled. Tears rolling down their face.
“What happened?”
“I uh… hallucinated. I think. You’re real right?” Their hand clutched their heart. It hurt so much.
“….i am, and I’m not going anywhere.” She reassured them, taking their hand that was clutching their heart, rubbing the back of it with her thumb.
“But…”
“But nothing. Let’s get you some water, you’ve been crying ever since I found you.”
They reluctantly nodded, being dehydrated wasn’t gonna help. They sat up and drank the water she gave them before they got up and hobbled to their bed with her help.
“How’d you get in here?” They rubbed their head
“The door was open and I heard crying”
“…checks out.” They laid down. Looking up at her, they made a grabbing motion with their hands
“Pfft— you’re such a kid sometimes” she rolled her eyes, laying down next to them and pulling them on top of her. “Heh, you’re really soft, you know that?”
“Yeah… it’s part of my charm.” They smiled at her. “I’m soft and sweet, the perfect party partner!”
“Hehehe” she giggles “I love you…”
“I love you too, starlight.” They leaned up and kissed her on the lips. This felt real. This felt good. “Thank you.”
“…for what?”
“For being real.”
Her eyes softened before she pressed a kiss to their face, “if you keep being like that I might have to cover your whole face in kisses!”
“Noooo~ anything but that~” they giggle as she pepper their face with kisses.
God they were so lucky to have her.
They hoped she would stay. They hoped she was real. It felt odd, seeing her be so mean one moment. But like this the second. She wasn’t aware of anything that went on in the bathroom. All she knew is that they had passed out.
“You okay?” She asked
“Hm? Yeah. I’ll be okay. Just stay real, for me?”
“Of course, dork!”
“Thank you. I love you.”
“You’re feeling really bad today, huh?”
“Mhm… sorry.”
“It’s okay! I’m here. And I’m real.” She smiled
Their gaze landed on a pin she had, and their hand covered the pin.
“You like? I got it from one of the surf shops in bizville beach!”
“Yeah, I like it. I used to surf” they said softly. The pin itself was reflective. But that’s okay.
“Really? We should both get back into it…”
“Yeah… it would be nice. You look nice when the winds in your hair.”
Her face darkened. Damn, they were smooth! “You really think so?”
“I know so.” They smirked. “You’re right though. I think surfing might do us both some good.”
“Yeah… do you have enough energy to?”
“Hell no. Let’s just go out and watch the stars at the beach.”
“Okay!”
Helping them up, they put on their sneakers and one of her hoodies before they headed out, hand in hand.
The walk there was thankfully short, and their beach was empty. Perfect.
The two sat down on the sand, the moon shining on them both brightly.
Kyoko looked up at the stars, pointing out all the constellations she could see.
As for Parker? They looked at her like she was the most beautiful thing in the world.
