It was Saturday, and the weather was quite sunny, despite still being a winter month. Future Worm went to Danny's room. The boy was quite tired, and his glasses were on the side of the table. It was clear that after all the time traveling they had gone through, they needed a 3-day break. Their last adventure involved fighting aliens who were invading their city.
"Hey Danny, you alright there?' Future Worm asked, Danny then replies with a groan saying, "Ugh, Fuch! Can't you see that my legs are jelly after what we had to do? Just leave me alone for a while, I don't wanna get up."
Future Worm then pointed at an unfinished invention that Danny was supposed to be working on. "Have you remembered the time that you told me that you were busy working on this machinery? Why didn't you finish it?"
Danny frowned at that, not really appreciating the thought of not finishing a hobby he was passionate about. He gets up, puts his glasses on, and gets off the bed. "Fine, I'll do it. But only because you told me to," He said as he walked toward the machine and picked it up.
"Was this supposed to work as a controlling device?" Future Worm asked Danny as if he were talking to a scientist. Danny replied with a scoff, "It's supposed to, but I'm out of scrap metal to use. There are no tin cans available in the Junkyard." So that was the reason Danny didn't finish his own invention.
"Maybe we can ask your Dad to help us on our Metal Quest?" Future Worm said as he continued to look at the device. Danny replied, "Hold up, I need to change my clothes." Then points at his own pajamas, "I can't ask dad like this, I'll look like an idiot if I do." After that, Danny went to the changing room just to get his pajamas out.
As Danny takes like 2 minutes in the changing room, Future Worm has to decide when to tell him that Doug is having some Lavender Marriage with a guy. He remembered seeing Doug in the living room, sobbing under the blankets over the phone with someone on the other end, talking about something that had to do with marriage. Wasn't Doug already married to Megan? He should have talked with Doug about it when he had the chance.
Then, Danny came back all dressed in new clothes. "Done! So Future Worm, can we go ask Mom in the kitchen?" Future Worm came back to his senses when he saw the boy. He honestly forgot that he's supposed to go with Danny. "Yeah, sure, we can't just stand here.'
So, they both went to the kitchen to find Megan, Danny's mother, sitting at the table eating her breakfast. "Hey Mom, Is Dad Around? I need him to come with us to the Scrapyard for metal." Danny asked Megan where his dad had gone. Megan turned her head around to look at her son and said, "Hey, Boys, Sorry, Danny, but your father wasn't here. Maybe another time," Danny was upset at that, then turned to Future Worm and said. "I swear, Dad was not this busy before. Where could he have gone off to?" Future Worm then replied with "Maybe it was something serious. Hold up, let me call him," and left the room.
Danny was left wondering, "What is going on with my Parents recently? They've been so quiet all of a sudden." He was worried about his own father. He swore that his dad always told him and his mother about his own problems, so why did he shut up all of a sudden? Danny feared he might break down. So he then looked at the door where Future Worm was seen calling Doug over a hologram from the watch
"Doug, where are you, man?" said Future Worm. His voice was different in comparison to Danny's conversation. "Danny's been asking you to go to the scrapyard with us, Tell me where
