James returns to the dorm after his morning run and finds Martin scrolling through his phone while having a breakfast cereal.
Martin: "Nope!" *Scrolls
Martin: "You serious?!" *Scrolls
Martin: "No way dude!" *Scrolls
Martin: "Damn bro!" *Scrolls
James who's making himself coffee, couldn't help but notice Martin's reactions while looking at his phone.
James: "What's wrong?"
Martin finally looks away from his phone and asked James.
Martin: "Do you like reading fanfics?"
James: "You've known me for 5 years, have you seen me read anything besides the menu?"
Martin: "That's true. It's just that, when we finally debuted, one of the things I was looking forward to, was to have Fanfics written about me as the main character with a female lead. I don't care who it is! Could be a Martin/Female Reader, Martin/Original Female Character, Martin/Female Idol. But all I got so far is me being paired with any of you guys! Here look at this."
Martin stood up from his chair to show James his phone.
Martin: "Martin/James, Martin/James, Martin/Juhoon, Martin/James, Martin/Juhoon, Martin/James, Martin/Keonho?! With that little shit?!"
James: "Hang on, why is there a lot of Martin/James? What does that even mean? That we're like- We're like in love or something?!"
Martin: "In the stories, yes. These are all made by fans."
James: "By fans? Are you sure? Because Martin/James with tags like Gay Sex, praise kink and Swallowing looks to me like it was made by people that really hates us."
The other three members walked out of their rooms to see what all the noise was about.
Keonho: "Dude, why are you guys so loud? It's only like 10:30 in the morning?
Keonho complains as he took Martin's seat and started eating Martin's breakfast cereal.
Martin: "That's mine."
Martin says to Keonho but the guy did not even look at him and continued eating.
James: "Here I'll show you."
James held the phone in front of the members so they could see what he's talking about.
Juhoon: "Martin/Juhoon, are this fanfics?"
James: "You know about this?"
Juhoon: "I've come across a few of them while scrolling through social media. I thought it was some hate content but when I read some of them, they're actually really creative and we'll made. Some of them."
Seonghyeon took the phone from James and started scrolling himself.
Seonghyeon: "Pairing: MartinxKeonho, tags: Nipple play, semi-public sex, public hand jobs!"
Seonghyeon reads out loud. Earning a few cackles from Juhoon and James while Martin and Keonho were obviously horrified at what they are hearing.
Keonho: "What the hell are you reading?! Let me see!"
He got up from where he was sitting and tries to take the phone from Seonghyeon.
Seonghyeon: "Wait wait wait! I gotta read this."
Seonghyeon starts to narrate the fanfic while Keonho was trying to grab the phone away from Seonghyeon. Martin was on the floor, dying from the inside as he hears the fanfic out loud. James and Juhoon was dying of laughter.
Keonho: "Hyung! What's that?! Why are they making those stuff up?!"
Keonho asked James, visibly distressed at what he's hearing.
James: "You tell me! Most of them are Martin/James! I just hope I'm not the one on the receiving end if you know what I mean."
Keonho went to his room to get his phone and starts searching fanfics as well.
Juhoon was also scrolling through fanfics.
Juhoon: "You guys are overreacting, some of them are actually sweet. Like this one. Pairing: Keonho/Seonghyeon, tags: fluff and smut, kissing, naked cuddling..."
Seonghyeon was horrified at what Juhoon was reading.
Keonho: "Not so fun after you're name gets involved isn't it?"
James also scrolling through fanfics trying to find at least one that doesn't involve his members being in a relationship with him. After getting to page 8, he finally finds one.
James: "Ha! Here's one! James/Female Reader! Let's see what we got here. Oh, it's in Indonesian."
His members laughed at his obvious disappointment.
Keonho: "What if we do a live and then tell our fans that we would like to be paired with women?"
Martin: "You want them to cancel you?! You have no idea how fandoms work. They'd rather pair you with a member of the same team or with other idols of the same sex. It's like some kind of unspoken agreement. To keep their delusion far from reality. That's what I think."
Seonghyeon: "So ADP had it good huh?"
Martin: "Checked those already, they're dominated with Tarzzan/Woochan."
Juhoon: "I don't know man, some of 'em are on to something. Even our actions are being interpreted here. Says here that Keonho and Martin beef started when Keonho asked to be kissed in public but Martin refused."
Everyone starts laughing except the two members mentioned.
Keonho: "Hyung! It's not funny! Our image could be ruined for this."
Martin: "Relax, it's just how it is. I guess people in this generation much prefer same sex relationship. Try searching for your favorite characters, I guarantee you more than half of them are paired with male characters."
James: "HA! HA! Found one! James/Original Female Character! Let's read shall we? Tags: Futanari, Gaping, Male Sub/Female Dom- You know what? I don't even like reading anyway."
James pocketed his phone.
Keonho tried to search for marvel characters since he is a big fan of Iron Man.
Keonho: "What the?! Steve Rogers/Captain America x Tony Stark/Iron Man?!"
Martin: "I told you, look on the bright side. At least we're getting the attention. Would you rather get no fanfics at all? Or get paired with your Cool Martin-hyung?"
James and Juhoon laughs at Martin's words of encouragement for Keonho. Once the laughter dies down, they looked at Seonghyeon whom has been silent for a while now, too immersed at what he's reading. The members finally noticed.
James: "Dude! Are you getting into it?!"
Seonghyeon: "What? Of course not!"
Seonghyeon denies, visibly red from embarrassment at getting caught, and he became the new target of the guys' teasing.
James: "Get his phone! See what he's reading!"
Seonghyeon immediately starts running to his room while the members run after him.
*The screen freezes at the member's blurred images and then the Lullaby Intro starts to play, followed by a text on the screen-
"I hope you enjoyed reading! 🤣"
