Work Text:
He rested his arms on the dark wood counter. In his hands, a bottle of vodka. His face flushed from the drink. He paused for a few seconds and then downed his third bottle. When he finished, he placed it next to the other two glass bottles and quickly called the waiter to bring him another one.
As his order was fulfilled, Robust turned his green eyes toward the bar's door, where he noticed a familiar figure. A man wearing a green sweater over a white shirt, with straight hair tied in a ponytail and, most notably, his yellow and green eyes with black pupils.
The boy sat down next to the blond man in the brown aviator uniform. Unconcerned, Robust opened another bottle and downed a generous amount. The gecko simply watched his friend, as he did most days.
"Want a drink?" the blond man asked, his eyes relaxed.
"You know I don't drink." he replied in a serious, yet somewhat relaxed tone.
"Oh, then why did you come?" he took another sip "Is it because of me?"
"Of course not, idiot," he said in the same tone, but wanting to emphasize the ‘no’ "I just see you're not doing your job, Mr. Robust."
"Don't be so formal with me," he paused for a long time before finishing with another bottle. "Oh, is it finished already? I need to be more economical." He raised his arm so a waiter could serve him "But what do you want from me, Yamori?"
"Your job as a pilot." Robust seemed to understand this time.
"Ah, sure. Everything's fine."
"Liar. You still carry alcoholic beverages in your luggage."
"What's the point of feeling the freedom of the air without being drunk?" The waiter finally attended to them. "But anyway, I haven't had any problems with that so far."
"If the passengers knew, it could cause a commotion. Your face doesn't hide your drunkenness."
"They'd think I was a drug addict."
"That 's worse."
"Oh." The drinks arrived. The blond made sure to order non-alcoholic Brahma (brand of beer) for his friend. "Relax, it's on me." Yamori sighed as he picked up the can.
"You're hopeless."
"If I weren’t, it wouldn't be fun." The gecko conceded, hiding the silly grin on his face as he downed some of his drink. Robust also downed his bottle.
"Okay, you really are hopeless."
"But you like it, don't you?" Yamori's cheeks flushed.
"Are you drunk?"
"You are too."
"What? But it's alcohol-free? Okay, enough drinking for today."
"Yamori, I'll die if I don't drink. Besides, I'm always drunk."
"You're right." He took another sip.
"But seriously, what I said is a lie?"
"Definitely." Robust laughed, and then drank some more.
"You're funny, Yamori!" The gecko was confused. What had he said? "I know you love me, you're I can read you like a book."
"Speaking of transparency, I think I'll order some water."
"I'll pay."
"It's not necessary."
"No, no, I'll pay, relax. My salary is good. Besides, you deserve some water."
"Great." The smile on Robust's face softened. He put his arms around the gecko's waist and leaned on him "What are you doing?"
"I want love and affection."
“On my waist?”
“You're too cold, Yamori.” the gecko sighed and slowly removed his friend from his waist. Before Robust's arms could touch anywhere else, he grabbed them and placed them over his shoulders. He blushed slightly.
“Okay, is this alright?” he asked. The blond smiled lovingly.
“Yes, it's perfect…” he rested on his back, almost asleep.
“Before you sleep, pay the fucking bill.”
