The halls of Sierpinski-23 are filled with a festive energy that even Adler can't deny, as seen with the reindeer headband he’s wearing with extreme enthusiasm (standing completely still with his hands clasped behind his back and his brows furrowed). He isn’t really one for parties, but the duties of an administrator demand him to be present for ‘morale’. On the bright side though, this does give him ample opportunity to people-watch…
“It seems that someone’s hung mistletoe here…”
A woosh of air and the elegant taps of a replika’s hooves hitting the floor clue him into Falke's presence. The bells on Adler’s headband jingle as he turns to greet her, noting the red sweater she’s wearing alongside its charmingly garish patterns of snowflakes and giftboxes. His eyes trail upwards to where she’s conspicuously dangling holly above their heads, a sly smirk on her face.
Adler rolls his eyes, deciding he won't point that out to her (At least… not yet that is). "How'd that get there I wonder.” He chuckles, playing along.
“Misplaced by a EULR unit, I presume.” Falke says simply. “As much as I'm not one for frivolous matters such as these, traditions are meant to be honored, are they not?”
“Yes, I-“ Adler isn’t exactly expecting Falke to lift him off the ground with her bioresonance, and while he's seen her do this plenty of times before with files and whatnot. It’s a decidedly terrifying experience to suddenly feel weightless and float upwards like a balloon, and he does what any self-respecting replika would do in such a situation: yelp and flail and grab onto the nearest person’s shoulder for support.
“C-Commander?!”
“I won’t drop you.” Falke says reassuringly, she holds him effortlessly despite his writhing. The added support is slightly comforting but not by much, the only way he’ll truly be at peace is when he's back on the ground. Properly.
His nerves are further soothed by Falke caressing his cheek, guiding his face to hers for a fleeting, tender kiss. She tastes of peppermint, so strong it lingers even long after they part.
Despite the fact that she set Adler down without much trouble, he can't help but sigh in relief at the feeling of solid ground beneath him again.
“Next time,” He says wearily, “Warn me before doing that, please.”
Falke chuckles, “Will do.” she hums, before striding off. While he was initially terrified, he can't lie and say that it didn't feel a bit exhilarating. He can see why Falke opts to float wherever she can….
It's only after she's long gone does he realize that he forgot to point the holly out to her.
