I’ve gotten almost used to the battle between darkness and light. In a way, I’ve been fighting that battle all my life, fighting against the shadows in my own mind, struggling back towards the light.
Not that it’s easy. But at least I have experience.
Sometimes, as I try again and again to break free, it seems like there’s only darkness ahead. Like I’ll never break through it, never reach home, never see Alice again.
But practice helps, and I keep going, keep finding my way back. There’s light beyond these shadows, and I’ll find that light and Alice again.
