Luz was sitting down on the couch, on a lazy day, playing Minecraft on her Switch.
Suddenly, she heard someone climbing down the stairs.
As it turned out, it was the house’s new guest, Vee.
“Oh, uh… Hi, Vee. You, uh… looking for something?” Luz asked.
“Just… wanted something to drink. That’s all.” Vee replied quietly as she opened the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water. She then prepared to go back upstairs, however, upon looking at what Luz was doing on the TV, she stopped.
“Uh, is… something wrong?” Luz asked.
“Can I… ask you… something?” Vee replied nervously, as if she was worried what would happen if Luz said “no.”
“Uh… Yeah?” Luz replied.
“What… what are you doing with the TV? That thing you’re holding doesn’t look like a normal remote.”
“I’m playing on my Switch!”
“And what… is that exactly?”
“A type of video game console. Guess you must’ve had an older console where you lived.”
“Like… one of those “PlayStation” things?”
“Actually, yeah. I even have a PS4 here too.”
“I… never had… one of those. At all.” Vee said, quietly.
“You had a PC then?” Luz asked. Vee shook her head.
“Waitwaitwait. You’ve never had a PC or a console? Have you ever played games at all?” Luz asked, somewhat bewildered.
Vee shook her head.
“…Get on the couch right now.” Luz said, seemingly deathly serious.
Vee sat down, with a very nervous expression.
Suddenly, she found the device Luz was holding landed in her lap. She grabbed it.
“Ok, so, you move around with the joystick- that’s this little nub on the left side here, and you look around with the nub on your right. You open inventory with X, and crafting with Y. Jump with B. Got all that?” Luz asked.
“I… think I do- AAAH!” Vee yelled as she got hit by a skeleton.
Luz grimaced. “Yeah, I can… take you back to my base. Sorry.” She grabbed the controller.
Once she got back, the two began to play.
