The Death.
No one tells you how to dress for your late wife's funeral, I was sitting here contemplating everything, it was only 3 years since I watched her glide down the aisle in the dress, we’d spent eternity with although our eternity ended shortly.
Coming home from work 5 months ago I pulled into the driveway, the air felt stagnant as I pushed the oak door she fought me to get, there wasn't a trace of her from that day. I spent hours waiting for her, restless and with my body twitching.
It was now 2am still no sign of her not even responding to my messages, my mind was racing, beginning to jump to the worst conclusions. Did she run away, why. were we perfect, although I thought.
The sunrise illuminated her chair empty. I couldn't sleep in the mix of the missing of my wife. I began to start calling family, friends and police, not a trace of her was left no car, plane, residence nothing, did she die i guess we will find out soon
A few days go by with nothing. I lost all hope until I got a call that would forever burn me inside out. her body… was found of the side of the highway cliff i was sure that i was going to die from broken heart syndrome, my world turned blurry and then after what felt like eternity, I peeled myself away from the ground, I screamed why, why take my only light, my love, my world.
A few days go by i still have my grip on my phone hoping and praying this was all a sick and twisted cruel joke, but real life happens nothing lasts forever sunsets, good days not even the one you choose to spend every moment with, that's the shit part about life we are all slowly dying no one cares it’s only when that privilege is stripped right before everyone's eyes
Everything still spun while I was mourning her. One day everything will just become memories only I didn't think they would end at 30, how can I move on from the one I've been devoted to for years. It was her and her only and as she took her last breath I hope she knew that I would continue to love her forever…
A few months pass and her funeral was coming in close only a few days I would have to say goodbye forever, no one prepares you for this, it always comes around but it all left up to time and fate but that for us is now, so as I walk into the church the memories of us holding hands for the first time, the first “I love you”, the fights we had but bounced back every time flooded my mind, the memories of where i got down one knee and promised her for a forever led the day I admired her as she walked down into my arms.
The same very suit that I wore that day, I'm wearing now not because I don't want to go and spend more money but for a resemblance of devolution, I will forever hold for her. I loved her, more than anything, more than everything and now she was nothing not by choice but by destiny by fucked up system called the life cycle.
