An unplanned getaway for us?
“Pack your trash Angel, we’re leaving!”
“Wot? Where are we going then, dear?”
This was a total surprise for sure for the Angel. Aziraphale having already settled for a quiet day in the shop, the we’re closed sign securely in place. Alas Crowley’s outburst and impromptu getaway was messing up the plan.
“A cottage, in the country. Just got wind it’s for sale and we need to get there. Pronto! If we want dibs on it.”
True they had talked about this before. A cottage in the countryside their shared dream. But Crowley had not been as keen as Aziraphale to take the plunge just yet. And yet here he was, ready to go without a moments notice to buy the damned thing!
A smile emerged on Aziraphale’s face just the same. With a small suitcase by his side, the coat and hat also present on his person, a minor miracle performed.
“Let’s get going then, love. We’ve got a cottage to purchase don’t we!”
