It was a cold, snowy night in the Sol Dimension, the pretty white snowflakes powdered the streets of the Sol Isle, and gently blanketed the Sol Palace, which on this peaceful January (called Sierra in the Solian calendar) night housed a lovey dovey couple of soulmates.
Sat in the royal seat within the royal dinning room was the Queendom's own Princess Blaze. Exhausted after the eventful gathering, the Princess of Flame was now slowly drifting off to sleep, more peaceful than she was in months. Her low rhythmic purring would've melted even the coldest heart. And in her lap laid her beloved, the peacefully nestled in Silver the Hedgehog, the inter-temporal immigrant of another world, her star-crossed lover, who's head was nuzzled into her shoulder and underchin. Blaze's hand had made its way up to Silver's chest fur, as it often did when wanting to fidget with something and relax, combing her fingers gently through the tufts. Silver felt like his cheeks were red hot with how much he must've been blushing, though he was toasty all over, not only from the dancing fireplace illuminating the dim cozy room, but also from the walking radiator caressing him who he married.
The time-traveller was endlessly transfixed by the golden ring on Blaze's finger, a neon cyan lightline running through it. Silver had it made from precious metals from his time that Blaze then smelted and forged into their wedding rings - akin in design to his golden bracers. He still couldn't believe she said 'yes'.
A child of ruin and hardship Silver wasn't used to such comforts, but he wasn't complaining, this must've been what heaven felt like. Blaze's eyes were closed, a small smile on her muzzle, she rarely showed such softness in public, with people around. But now that most of the visitors had vacated the premises - only the sleepy, softly snoring Marine remained, cuddled up in blankets on the floor next to the warm fireplace.
She was quite tuckered out after the party and all the 'fun' she had today, at Silver's expense, of course. He didn't mind, of course. He loved the little troublemaker, she was their precious rascal. She had noticed Blaze making Silver's eyeliner that morning, laying on top of him, their lips an inch away from each other. Unphased of course, there was no personal space between Blaze and Silver, they could never be too close to each other. Marine offered to help with the makeup. Silver agreed, and closed his eyes, and when he opened them back up again he was greeted with the sight of Marine's toothy grin and Blaze with her hand against her mouth attempting to hold back laughter. 'Do I look beautiful.' He asked sarcastically yet innocently.
'Ya look like ya ate a clown, mate, hahaha!'
Blaze would occasionally now and again kiss Silver on his tiny little ear closest to her, at which Silver would squirm and whimper, which was Blaze's favourite, her small smile growing into a full on grin. She whispered 'I love you.' over and over. 'My perfect, gorgeous boy.' She'd sweeten him up with all the pet names she had gifted him, 'Angel. Sunflower. Snowflake. Autumn leaf.' He melted every time he heard her address him as such, to know she chose him, to love him, it set his heart ablaze.
After a quiet while she once again craned down to his little sensitive ear, which twitched as it felt her warm breath, "I love when you whimper." Silver chuckled quietly, curling up into her, snaking his hand up to the back of her head and brought her closer. Their lips interlocked, sending a surge of lust between them - Blaze felt like she could fly, Silver thought he was going to faint... from a kiss... from his wife. He was truly hopeless.
They only parted for air. Blaze's body heat had skyrocketed, "I was supposed to fall asleep, but now my Prince-Consort may have me too excited."
Silver couldn't look at her, grasping for air, flustered, "Please flirt with me when I'm not looking like a doofus."
Blaze laughed that gorgeous laugh that Silver loved so much, he loved he managed to make her laugh so much, that she found him funny, what a gift. A loud single HA followed by a cute snort. "Oh, Silvy, how is that any different from any other day."
