Get Her Off!

Summary:

Weiss is not happy with what's happening her first few days at Beacon. The annoying red clad girl isn't helping. At all.

Notes:

Wrote this for a friend. Ive only seen 8 episodes of Rwby. So I apoligize if this is out of charcater for Weiss. They just started talking and I got instant Amity/Luz vibes so thats what I went with.

Also, I love deep sleepers who sleep in the stupidest way possible x light sleepers who sleep in the same postion all night.

Oneshot for this one but maybe I'll write more for them as I actually watch more of the show. (Also I wrote this in like 20 minutes. So, yeah)

(See the end of the work for more notes and other works inspired by this one.)

Work Text:

That was it! The last straw of patience Weiss had! What was it with that stupid girl and her attitude? Everyone here for that fact. Why weren't they more considerate of the fact that they were at the most elite school this side of- well anywhere? Beacon Academy was the stuff of legends and stories and where all the greats came from but those people treated it like- like it was just a normal school?

Not to mention how they had even gotten in in the first place. The only one deserving of it, other than her of course, was Pyrrha but she hadn't even seemed to care who Weiss was. She had apologised to the annoying blond boy with the annoying voice which was so beneath them. Then she had the nerve to smile at the pathetic attempt of a flirt with a name like “hotstuff”?

And what was with calling her “snowangel?” Everything just- ah!!

And now here they were. Back in the dorms with everything out in the common area like they were five. Weiss had never slept in a room with another person let alone this many. She was meant to be lounging in the mattress she had brought from home that was so safely stored in her suitcases ready to be brought inside.

Professor Ozpin had confiscated them though claiming she'd get them back once the teams were fully finalized. So here she was. Stuck on an air mattress in a crummy main area with so many people who wouldn't shut up! And what was that awful smell?

She grumbled and turned on her side, glaring at the wall as if it would change anything. She had been lucky to snag the corner air mattress so at least she only had one person on her right. That just left another issue though. Another thing that had gone wrong since she had gotten here not that long ago.

“You awake, Weiss?” Ruby whispered with all the silentness of a wild boar.

Weiss ignored her, narrowing her eyes at the offending wall. No silk sheets. No draped canopy above her. Not even her stuffed bear. All in those stupid confiscated suitcases.

“Hey. Hey Weiss.” Ruby said again, this time accompanying the annoying voice with a poke to Weiss’ side. “Are you awake?”

“Go to bed.” Weiss snapped, turning enough to smack the girl's hand away. She had half a mind to find another bed but then the annoying girl would have won.

Ruby pouted, a huff escaping her. “Why do you have to be so mean to me?” She asked in that grating voice.

Weiss couldn't help but retort back. “Because you're not supposed to be here! Why would I bother being nice to someone beneath me?” She turned on her other side so she wasn't yelling to a wall.

Which was a mistake because Ruby took it as an invitation to not shut her yapper. “You aren't nice to people just because they're “worthy.”” She threw up airquotes, her hands peeking out of her singular very thin looking blanket. “You should be nice to people because it's a nice thing to do.”

Weiss curled her nose up in disgust. “What would that do for me?”

Ruby sighed loudly. “That's the point! It does nothing but it makes you feel good!”

Weiss rolled her eyes and the black haired girl stuck her tongue out. Like a damn child. Because she was one, clearly. Weiss might not have figured out her actual age but she had to be younger than anyone else here. “It makes me feel sick.’ Weiss spat, turning again to face away from the girl.

Ruby, yet again, sighed loudly. Weiss could barely feel the warm breath on the back of her cold neck and she quickly scooched further from the girl. “Weiss, come on! I'm at least trying here! We're a team now and you need to-”

“Ruby.” Yang muttered, her voice laced with exhaustion. “It's 3 am. Go the fuck to sleep.” She cursed and Weiss's nose scrunched in disgust again. This was the rabble she was supposed to spend 4 years with?

An annoying bow wearing weirdo who had only disparaged the Schnee family name with falsehoods and rumors. A loud overly touchy blond who was weirdly protective about her hair even though she never took any effort to tie it back like Weiss did. And worst. The red cape wearing weirdo who wouldn't stop trying to befriend Weiss no matter how much she turned her down.

She grumbled to herself, tucking her legs up in her blanket. The one thing she had managed to score from Professor Ozpin. Her triple layered, queen sized, insulating, duvet. Specially hand crafted to fit her needs and keep her warm even on the chilliest of nights. Which tonight happened to be. She pushed her face into its soft edge, ignoring the stare she could feel Ruby giving her.

She'd march down to Professor Ozpin's class in the morning and demand a new group. Maybe she could convince that weirdo Jaune to back out.

---

Weiss yawned, slowly opening her eyes as an alarm sounded out in the large common space. She blinked slightly, the wall coming more into focus. She still had to put in her damn contacts but she'd do that where no one could see her. Now. Her morning routine. Perfectly crafted to ensure she was ready for the day ahead after her beauty rest.

The beauty rest she *hadn't* gotten because someone had decided to keep her awake till early morning. She'd get moved to another team today. That was fine. She just had to do her routine.

She went to shift before she frowned, realizing she couldn't move. The duvet was heavy but not that heavy-

“Awww.” Yang said in that high pitched annoying voice she saved for Ruby. “How cute!” There was a small shutter noise like a scroll taking a photo.

“Hey what-” Weiss tried to move again but something held her down. It was heavy.

Blake chuckled slightly and Weiss felt her air mattress shift as the girl must have bumped it. “Looks like your sister succeeded in making another friend.” She said in that monotone voice.

Weiss managed to twist just enough to see what was pinning her entire body down. Ruby's arm was across her torso, her other arm somehow under Weiss. Her leg was over Weiss as well- no. She was on top of Weiss. Fully. And under *her* duvet cover.

“Smile!” Yang yelled and Weiss stared in horror as the scroll took another photo.

Notes:

Hope you enjoyed Kingston. I'll write more when I get further into the show lol
