Somewhere in the endless void full of Portals and Rifts leading to worlds long forgotten by Notch ,left in the hands of beings that had little to no understanding on how players worked,slowly fall into disrepair, a group of travelers was trying to find a way to save and repair as many of these worlds as thay possibly could. However there wern't that many of them and most of them wern't strongminded enough to consistantly travel between Rifts without going insane. So they took it upon themselves to create a being that could withstand such mental presure under the name ''project Gemini''.
It took a lot of trial and error the first few attempts were too unstable to exist for more then a few seconds,it took weeks until any could actually live long enough to actually enter a Rift. The travelers then sent those beings to one of the uninhabited worlds to check how it would respond and wether or not it would meet their needs in an actually populated world.
The ones who did survive in those test worlds couldn't blend in in the multiplayer worlds they were meant to defend since they didn't look like normal players. Players feared these strange souless skinless creatures made up of pure magic that randomly showed up in their worlds and more often than not tried to hunt the entities down.Forcing the creatures to work in the shadows which often ended in them eventgually being spotted and either having the players vacete the world or trying to hunt them[the Entities] down.
That was all until project Gemini had a incredible breakthrough that would change the way their creations ineracted with the worlds around them.
The Amethist.
The magical hivemind that the rifts are made of the life and Soul of all the worlds within them. This magical element of nature ,that the travelers have been gathering from different fragments of the code of each world has quite the interesting magical property.
It can create realistic illusions and the ability to mess with minds. So they tried harnessing that power and applying it to their creations.
And well you could say they ...sucseeded. The creatures they created with it looked quite different from the rest. Its skin was made off a bright orange light like the rest of Project Geminis creations. It's face however looked completely.
The other entitys had compleatly white pupils with a black sclera surownding them and a blank souless expression. This ones pupils were a vibrant purple like the vary amethyst that they were made of and ontop of that they had this almost curious glimmer to them.
When it first awoke it stared at its creators like that for a second then another before the orenge glow was replaced by a violet light. The travelers watched with a mix of confusion and pride as the light faded and before them stood not the form of a creature made of the roaring flames of magic instead from the light emerged the figure of a player.
It stood there staed for a bit more then smiled weakly. Long ginger hair dangling from its back,its eyes no longer purple but rather a fierce and playfull green.
The first to speak was a tall purplehaired traveler :
” We did it! Oh Notch we actually did it.”
She practically yelled that statement out in excitement which startled the creature. It hid behind one of the other travelers, a slightly older guy with long blond hair gentle blue eyes and gient black wings along his back. The man sighed and said:
“Calm down Obsidian! Our success is just as exciting for you as it is for me but you are scaring the poor thing.”
His voice was calm but strict almost fatherly in a sense.
“Oh…Yeah you’re right Crow sorry. Uhh…and sorry to you too little one I didn’t mean to startle you.”
There was this awkward silence for a brief moment, until one of the other travelers spoke(Another man with blue eyes this one tough was a brunette ):
“So what should we call them?”
“What do you mean by that Copper we call them Gemini20|1|26 of course. It is how we did it with all of the other ones why should this one be any different?”
“Because they will need to blend in with the players Redstone." Copper sighed. "They will at least need a name and I mean a propper one.”
"How about just Gem then."replied Redstone.
"That is rather uncreative don't you think?" Crow chimed in.
"Yeah I guess..."
"Don't beat yourself up over it Redstone. I personally think Gem is the perfect name! It's short so it will be easy for them to remember.Which will be good for when we train them." Obsidian said in support. So what if it isn't "creative enough"
