Chapter 1: Drunk again

Chapter Text

Woozi was in the studio today, as usual, working on music. In the month he had been away, no new songs for SEVENTEEN had been written—well, the other members had put together a few tracks, but as one of the main producers, Jihoon felt guilty for not contributing anything to his own group.

“Jihoonie… Jihoonie… Jihoo…”

From behind the studio door, Woozi heard someone moaning. For a moment, he thought he must be losing his mind—he hadn’t left the studio all day, and now he was starting to hear voices.

It had only been a few months since the birth of his and Soonyoung’s daughter, Kwon Younghee. The alpha had been so overjoyed that he went on a several-day-long bender, completely forgetting his personal schedule and ongoing projects. Woozi found it infuriating—but he was grateful that Seungkwan wouldn’t let even a drunk, and especially not a sober, Hoshi out of the house. If Soonyoung were sober, he might go drinking and risk his reputation; if he was drunk, he might sit somewhere crying, again endangering the very thing he cared about most.

Ten minutes had already passed with someone calling from behind the door. At first, Woozi assumed it was the other members—maybe Dokyeom trying to play a prank. But when the voice didn’t stop, he realized it was no joke. Gathering his courage, he tucked his sleeping daughter under a small blanket on the couch and went to the door, peeking to see who had been lingering outside for so long.

“Who’s there?” he asked, his voice sharp and tinged with irritation, already preparing to scold whoever it was.

“Your Tiger.”

Through the frosted glass, he recognized his alpha’s signature hand gesture. With a deep breath, Woozi opened the door.

“You damn bastard, Kwon Soonyoung… drunk again.”

Before he could even let the alpha fully inside, Seungyoun lunged forward, hugging him tightly as if someone might snatch Jihoon away. Jihoon wanted to return the embrace, but first he had to discipline him. He gently pushed the alpha onto the couch.

“Sit. Stay. I’ll finish this, then we’ll go home.”

“Jihoon~a… you’re so good,” Soonyoung sniffled, tears streaming down his face. He tried to wipe them, but his hands were clumsy. “I… I love you so much. I’m so grateful for our daughter, for the songs, for your care, for your love.”

He stood and stepped closer. “Let me kiss you…”

Jihoon pressed him back down. “I said sit and stay, Soonyoung. I love you too, but shut up, or I’ll kick you to the moon.”

Jihoon’s stern expression seemed to sober the alpha a little. “I’ll call Mingyu to take you home, alright?”

“That won’t work, Jihoon~i…” Soonyoung’s sly smile made Jihoon uneasy. Could he really have to leave early to make sure Hoshi didn’t post something he’d regret on Weverse?

“I’m calling Wonwoo. Stay here and be quiet, or you’ll be spending the night with company,” Woozi muttered, picking up his phone and dialing the older omega with a mix of frustration and hope. At least someone sober would help him get this troublemaker back to their apartment.

“Jihoon, what’s wrong?” Wonwoo’s tired, nervous voice sounded through the line, and Jihoon’s hope faltered.

“Mingyu drank too, right?” he sighed, sinking back into his chair.

“Yep. That idiot’s trying to hug and kiss me now. I just got him settled. Don’t call Jun-hyung or Cheol-hyung—they were with the other drunk guys. Call Boo and Joshua-hyung directly. Hansol and Seokmin will help.”

“Honestly, complaining about Soonyoung isn’t even worth it—at least he’s not 187 cm tall,” came a muffled “shut up” from the other end before Jeong hung up.

“Well, drunkard, let’s call Boo and Seokmin,” Jihoon muttered.

Their friends would help, of course. And Woozi would scold Hoshi in the morning, forbidding him from drinking. But how Hoshi would explain the reason for his binge? That was for someone else to handle, not Soonyoung’s
