"I refuse to let the internment camps be nothing more then a goddamn blip in my family history!-" Mike abruptly spat out in bitter anger after he arrived back home from vising his parents.
From the sound of it, Chester got the feeling it didn't exactly go to well. He knew Mike hoped to finally get answers regarding his dad's personal experiencing before time ran out For so long his dad never answered any of the questions about his time in the camps from the ages of five and eight in great detail.
His dad just never saw any reason to pass on the personal pain that he and his parents felt being locked up for no good reason. He'd rather lock it up in a safe and throw away the key so to speak.
(Chester once noted a similarity between their dads in which they both tended to not deal with their emotions too well.)
And yeah Mike knew about the horse stalls and how terrible the conditions were and what exactly happened from his own research and from reading memoirs by other internees. But he wanted to hear his dad's own side of the story.
"-I fucking know more about my mom's parents involvement in the Battle of Blair Mountain in West Virginia in then I do about Manzanar."
Mike screamed in understandable irritation before he stomped off to his studio and slammed the door.
