Summary:

“The time finally came, huh?” Hyeonjoon said in a quiet whisper.

“...so it seems.” Jihoon responded.

The two were in deep silence still processing what had happened.

“Our promise… it won’t get broken, right?” Jihoon said, somewhat in a plea.

OR

The universe was bending and breaking its back to keep the two together... until it wasn't.

Notes:

after 10 years of just reading fanfics, i finally wrote one and it's because of this sinking ship... anyway, enjoy (?).

Chapter Text

“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”

-Paulo Coelho

Jeong Jihoon and Choi Hyeonjoon had known each other since their debut years.

Their first meeting was… kind of awkward. Hyeonjoon couldn’t even look Jihoon at his face when the latter was talking. Hyeonjoon had always been shy around new people and him thinking that Jihoon looked like a cute, scrawny, long cat was not helping his case. He thought that he would have a hard time getting along with the Griffin players. For starters, he wasn’t even in the main lineup and was only playing as a substitute. Not to mention, he was surrounded by talented people and Jeong Jihoon was not an exception to this.

He knew about the overflowing talent of the midlaner and knew that Jeong Jihoon had so much potential as a player. These facts were enough to intimidate the young Hyeonjoon since he was self-aware of his lack of  experience compared to Jihoon. So in his mind, it made sense that the midlaner had this atmosphere around him that made him seem… untouchable—too out of reach for someone like Hyeonjoon. So he somewhat kept his distance for a while.

But Jihoon proved him wrong.

Funnily enough, their first formal interaction was because of something the younger unexpectedly and off-characteristically said during one of their team dinners.

“How do you guys even stomach eating cucumbers...” Jihoon complained, brows furrowed while poking his tongue out of disgust.

“It being crunchy but tasting like water is so off-putting!”

Hyeonjoon’s ears perked from this information.

“Wait, you hate cucumbers too?” Hyeonjoon pointing his index finger at Jihoon, curious.

“Not just hate, I despise them! It doesn't even have the right to be served on the table nor should it be eaten!” Jihoon said dramatically.

Hyeonjoon looked at the younger, scrunched his nose out of habit before laughing at the sight of Jihoon’s animated expressions.

How unexpected he thought.

Little by little, the roots of friendship that Jihoon and Hyeonjoon planted started growing from their joint hatred of cucumbers. It grew into something beautiful and meaningful, something delicate yet strong enough to withstand rugged winds that it might encounter. Since then, the two had been inseparable and you would never see one without the other.

Despite both of them joining a relatively new and promising team, they were able to produce results beyond their expectations. Their team had exceptional synergy. It's like they were running on only instincts with how unpredictable their moves were, leaving their opponents off- guard. They were dominating and were making a name for themselves.

But fate had its own, cruel plans.

Griffin, the team that took LCK by a storm, crumbled and had to ultimately leave the pro-scene. Their coach and management had internal issues so complicated that even the players got tangled in. It was quite messy and this was enough of a reason for each of the players to leave, one by one.

Jihoon and Hyeonjoon thought that this would be the last time that they would be playing together in the same team, but the universe has its own ways to connect bonded souls who were meant to be together and the strings that were carefully being weaved, wrapping both of them, made sure that the two would stay intact.

Fortunately, the two, young, promising players were both signed to DRX not long after the fiasco. After signing their contracts, the duo found themselves walking out of the organization’s building together, planning to get some afternoon bites.

“It’s you and me again, huh?” Jihoon said.

“Guess I’m stuck with you, unfortunately.” Hyeonjoon replied as a joke.

“What does that even mean!?” the younger gasped dramatically, putting his hand on his chest in mock offense.

“Hyung, aren’t you glad you’re teammates again with a super cute and reliable younger brother!?”

“Yeah, yeah, sure…” Hyeonjoon rolled his eyes, laughing.

As they were about to exit the building, Jihoon suddenly stopped walking without the other noticing.

“Hey, Hyeonjoonie hyung,” Jihoon called the older.

Hyeonjoon, startled, stopped on his tracks and looked on his shoulder.

"Let's win more titles this time, yeah?”

Hyeonjoon stared at Jihoon and saw the midlaner’s eyes sparkled with renewed determination. The toplaner sharply nodded his head in agreement.

“Yeah, let’s!” Hyeonjoon said and held out his pinky finger.

Jihoon smiled with his toothy cat smile and jogged in front of the older to meet him face to face. He wrapped his finger around Hyeonjoon’s pinky, locking in their promise of lifting more trophies, together.

Their time in DRX only established how well the both of them really meshed together. Even the others were sick and tired of seeing the two attached to the hip— like peas in a pod. Both of them would instinctively sit beside each other during scrims amd team dinners. They playfully bicker all the time— you name it. One was never away from the other and their teammates were witnesses to this.

In the midst of the chaos in the DRX practice rooms, with the calm Hyukkyu mediating Minseok and Changhyeon, who were sticking their finger in each other’s noses and the former screaming like he was being strangled, Hyeonjoon and Jihoon were in their own worlds, concentrating in their own solo queues.

Hyeonjoon was talking to his chat as per usual about the food he ate earlier while Jihoon was talking about…

Well…

He was talking about his beloved Hyeonjoon hyung.

Chovy’s Stream

A star donation was sent by anchovy3000, thank you!:

‘what makes you happy these days?’

The donation message was read aloud by the platform’s AI, monotonously, and Jihoon immediately replied.

“Hyeonjoonie hyung!” answered with a snicker followed by his iconic cat-like smile.

Chovy’s Chat

mochichovy: ㅋㅋㅋㅋ brother, donor asked “what” not “who” but u r so valid for that

blckcatsupremacy: i knew he would answer that i just had no proof!

drx20_fighting: *acts surprised*

yuzuamericano: MAOLANMAOLANSKDHA

The chat boomed with replies from his response.

“What do you guys mean ‘I knew it,’ ‘he’s so predictable’?” he said in mock offense. “But yeah, Hyeonjoonie hyung’s been making me happy these days, especially when I meet him in solo queue and defeat him.” Jihoon laughed loudly.

The toplaner beside him heard all of it and just rolled his eyes at the younger.

Chovy’s Chat

roundolan: i hate people in love! /j

chovycheeks: ah he’s enjoying his hyung’s misery *shakes head*

chobi_beloved: someone pls save doran from this menace!!!!

Doran’s Chat

dotoriii_22: you got mentioned by chovy again lol

chovskrrtsdoran: jihoon cannot for the life of him not mention his hyung for a day ㅋㅋㅋ

When Jihoon found a solo queue match, he noticed that the toplaner’s drafting screen resembled his and, as if the universe was playing along with his antics, he knew that he was matched against ‘MoChiPoChi,’ a.k.a his Hyeonjoon hyung.

Hyeonjoon was busy talking mindlessly and kept entertaining his chat when he was picking his champion to use. The unsuspecting Hyeonjoon noticed from his peripherals that Jihoon was snickering like an idiot and was glancing at him from time to time, obviously wanting his attention. Hyeonjoon got irked and squinted his eyes. He finally gave the younger man his wanted attention.

“What’s with you, you’re being annoying…” Hyeonjoon whined.

But the person beside him didn’t answer him, still smiling, and just returned his focus to the screen in front of him. Hyeonjoon, still suspicious of Jihoon’s behavior, refocused on his screen. After the picking and ban phase, the load screen before the match was flashed. He was scanning the players on his and the enemy team whilst talking about random stuff.

That’s when he noticed.

MCPC Killer was on the enemy team.

“You—!” Hyeonjoon shouted in frustration, hands on his head, earning a hollering laugh from the person beside him.

“Person who loses pays for our midnight snack later?” Jihoon said, provoking the toplaner.

“Bet.” the toplaner replied.

Hyeonjoon lost.

It wasn’t even a close match.

No, they were utterly, completely, and horrendously destroyed by the enemy team—Jihoon’s team—where they had to surrender because there was no comeback angle that could happen.

10 vs 28.

What’s worse?

Majority of the kills were from the midlaner beside him who had 15/4/7 as his KDA, making him the MVP of the game.

Jihoon spun his gaming chair to look at his hyung with his arms crossed, chest huffed, and a smirk.

“Well, well, well..” Jihoon said slowly and mockingly, emphasizing every word, which earned an exasperated sigh from the poor Hyeonjoon.

Both of their chats erupted in shared laughter and pity for the defeated toplaner.

Doran’s Stream

‘there, there our dorannie. you’ll win next time! use this as payment for tonight’s snack~’

Hyeonjoon replied to the donor, palms hiding his face in shame, pretending to cry.

“Aigoo, thank you…”

It was around 2 A.M. when they ended their scheduled streams. They bid their fans farewell, thanked them, and told them to have a good night’s sleep. For the two, however, the night was still young.

True to his words, Hyeonjoon called the attention of Jihoon while fixing his desk.

“Jihoon-ah let’s head out after this? I lost, right?” Hyeonjoon reminded him.

“Hyung, it was actually just a joke to make things exciting and make the stream more interesting.” Jihoon replied.

“Unless…” The younger one gasped.

“Did hyung actually just want to treat his younger brother some snacks!?” he dramatically clenched his chest, touched

“Oh my… My Hyeonjoonie hyung actually loves me! He’s treating me so well~” the younger added and said it in a sing-song way.

Hyeonjoon’s ears went red.

“You’re being dramatic and ridiculous…”

“So what are you in or not?” Hyeonjoon repeated, a hand resting on his waist.

“Of course I am! My hyungie wants to treat me for free so how could I say no.” Jihoon replied, eyes forming a crescent-shape from smiling a little too much.

They informed Hyukkyu that they will buy some snacks from the convenience store to which the eldest responded with a nod. Before heading out, Minseok saw the duo putting on their shoes and asked where they would go at this ungodly hour of the day.

"Where the hell are you two going?"

“The convenience store.” both replied in unison.

“Oh, can I come?” Minseok asked. “I’ve been wanting to try that sweet snack that the fans were insistent for me to try a while ago. They said that I’ll definitely like it and it can be bought in any convenience store.”

“Su—”

“Absolutely not!” Jihoon interrupted.

“It’s 'Hyeonjoonie hyung and Jihoonie bonding time' together," Jihoon air quoted. "Don’t interfere!” the midlaner stuck his tongue out childishly.

Minseok rolled his eyes. “You and your possessiveness with hyung…”

“Fine, just buy it for me then," Minseok replied with a huff "And make that two packs," he added "I’m doing you a favor.” the youngest gave Jihoon a wink.

Jihoon gave him a look, somewhat warning the younger “Whatever does that mean…” Jihoon nonchalantly replied.

"If you don't get me two packs I'm gonna tell—" Minseok said, threatening Jihoon.

But before the youngest could continue what he was about to say, Jihoon took Hyeonjoon's arm and quickly pulled him outside.

“Okay, okay, just shut up already!” Jihoon shouted just enough for the support to hear. Hyeonjoon, who was dragged along the younger man, didn't fail to notice the red color forming on the younger's ears.

Shaking his head, Minseok watched the two hurriedly leave the practice room. Before he went inside, he saw Jihoon almost tripping to nothing but air. Thank god the older was there to catch the taller one and help him get his balance back before he plants his face on the ground.

Minseok just sighed because of his hyung’s clumsiness and went back into the room completely.

Professional esports is an environment where organizations, teams, and players are bound to reach for greatness and the hunger for winning will always remain constant. The harsh reality was that rosters will never be permanent and stove league was an unavoidable phenomenon that the majority of players and organizations had to face.

Although they only had a year in DRX, the team was able to navigate through ruthless storms and achieved results that they all worked hard for. It wasn’t the best result per se, but a step was still progress and a start to something greater.

Saying that the team’s inevitable separation broke them was an understatement. The young players were inconsolable when their contract expiration was nearing. Hyukkyu, being the rock and eldest of the team, was trying his best to console his younger brothers. Despite only being together for a year, they have formed a strong and special connection. They were not just teammates—they were a family who had been together through ups and downs.

Aside from the heartbreak of the found family’s separation, Jihoon and Hyeonjoon were also devastated from the fact that they won’t be in the same team anymore. The universe they thought that was in favor of them being together was eerily silent during the stove league. It's like there was a mysterious force holding it captive which kept it from moving along its usual course.

Perhaps the strings of fate were unraveling and loosening its grip of keeping the two together?

The once inseparable duo had to be in different teams and despite both of their souls being desperate to defy the twisted turns of fate, they were still their own people.

Both still strive to be the best pro player and both still strive to be the best versions of their current selves. Deep down, they know that if they don’t take the opportunity to sign the contracts offered to them, their dream of fulfilling their goals as players will be beyond their reach. Not only will this invalidate every effort and hard work they had been doing their whole career, but the countless nights they shared practicing and refining together will be in vain.

And so, the ending—

Jeong ‘Chovy’ Jihoon in Hanwha Life Esports.

and

Choi ‘Doran’ Hyeonjoon in KT Rolster.

Their dorm rooms were in complete, deafening silence because of the realization. The duo were slowly and reluctantly packing their belongings for them to move to their new home.

“The time finally came, huh?” Hyeonjoon said in a quiet whisper.

“...so it seems.” Jihoon responded.

The two were in deep silence still processing what had happened.

“Our promise… it won’t get broken, right?” Jihoon said, somewhat in a plea.

“I think it would just be on hold for now? We’re still young and we could technically still be on the same team in the future. Probably… Possibly. ” Hyeonjoon said, hopeful. “No one knows what’s out there for us, Jihoon-ah.” Hyeonjoon said while patting the younger’s back, comforting the other.

Hyeonjoon was met with a sad smile. It was not often that the older observed the younger being in complete silence, but he knew Jihoon from the inside and outside. When Jihoon behaves like this, Hyeonjoon knew that the younger one was deep in thought and internally battling himself, thinking of something to say, but no words were able to form and come out of his mouth. Hyeonjoon just let the young midlaner be and continued his packing, folding his clothes neatly to fit his suitcase.

At first, the separation was undeniably difficult to accept. They had known and been teammates for a hefty amount of time. They were young and reliant on each other’s company, so the sudden loss of this familiar presence will take a while to get used to. However, deep down they know that their shared determination to keep their childish promise of winning more trophies together enkindled something within them.

They say that you become better when you leave your comfort zone, and they are each other’s comfort. So they view this separation as a challenge rather than a setback— to work even harder in the hopes of being in a team where they can both play together again with different and better versions of themselves.

Surprisingly, the year flashed by and their contracts were about to expire. As if written by the stars, Jihoon and Hyeonjoon were together in the same team again.

In GenG this time.

It was not a coincidence that they were truly destined to be teammates until the end of their careers and it seems that the universe was bending and breaking its back to make sure that they would wound up together. Not only were they teammates again, but the season was relatively always in their favor and the team was winning or placing in every domestic tournament in South Korea. Their team felt unstoppable and the result of every split ended with their team lifting trophies.

Jihoon and Hyeonjoon were happy to see that their promise of winning together was within reach and they were currently living in it.

One evening after their win, the team gathered for a dinner to celebrate. The restaurant was filled with happiness and boisterous laughter from every corner of the room was present. And celebrations? Of course it calls for a drink! Most of them were drunk and tipsy and the duo were no exception.

Hyeonjoon was a clingy drunk and so he kept hugging Jihoon non-stop that day. Jihoon didn’t mind because he was too high from their win and he was no stranger to Hyeonjoon’s drunk antics. He knew that Hyeonjoon was a clingy drunk, knew that he drunk texts people, and knew that he was a rumbustious drunk. He would always be the ‘assigned person’ to take care of the older since they were roommates and share the same dorm anyway.

When it was time to go home, Jihoon took care of Hyeonjoon. He settled the older on the couch to get a glass of water for himself and drunk toplaner. Jihoon offered the glass to Hyeonjoon and the latter gladly accepted it, thanking the younger. Hyeonjoon settled the glass on the coffee table and hung his head on the sofa, staring at the ceiling.

(flashback)

Despite a year of separation, their relationship just got even stronger. They would always communicate with each other with Jihoon regularly texting the older, not missing a beat of wanting to know what the older was up to that day. When both have free time, they would spend it together eating to just catch up with each other’s life. Of course they would end up talking about League even off the rift, like how they were built to, and would even exchange strats and counters about certain champs that they both have a hard time dealing with. It was like they were never even separated in the first place.

Once the season ended, the news that both of them being in the same team came to be. Jihoon, elated, immediately texted his hyung about it.

“HYUNG”

“HYUNG”

“HYEONJOONIE HYUNG!!!!”

“MY BELOVED HYEONJOONIE ANSWER PLSSSSS”

“ur so annoying my phone kept buzzing in my pocket! I’m literally walking rn!”

“Rude. But hyung have u heard!?”

“Both of us will be together in gen g!!!!”

“Huh? Don’t joke around, Jihoon-ah.”

“How did u even know?”

“I literally just signed a while ago and heard they’ll likely contact you too hehe.”

“u r stuck with me again, u r so lucky!”

“Isn’t that a breach of contract… you’re leaking inside info, idiot”

“u won’t tell them anyway”

“and u love me so u won’t let them sue me, right?”

“RIGHT1?!?!?”

“hyung..?”

(end of flashback)

Jihoon settled on the opposite side of the couch and a comfortable silence surrounded them. It has been a long time since they sat on their couch not thinking about League for once—just the two best of friends sitting on the couch, content, and living their best life together.

However, prolonged silence enveloping two tipsy people could brew something that don’t typically happen in a normal setting. Most of the time, situations like this can trigger unspoken words to break loose and repressed emotions kept secret for the longest time to surface.

Hyeonjoon broke the silence.

“Jihoon-ah, what do you think of me?” Hyeonjoon quietly and carefully asked, still looking at the ceiling.

Jihoon was taken aback by the sudden question but responded anyway.

“You are a good person—sweet and caring. You’ve been my rock since my debut years where everything still felt shaky… uncertain.” Jihoon replied in a whisper.

“You’re talented, you’re a great teammate, roommate, friend—heck you’re the bestest friend I ever had!” the younger added proudly and confidently.

Hearing these words from Jihoon made his heart swell. He turned his focus from the ceiling to the younger when he heard those words.

“What? You think I’m lying?" Jihoon scoffed, "Hyung, you really should think highly of yourself! It’s not just me who feels that way, you know? Everyone around you just naturally gravitates towards you because of your genuine and kind personality.” Jihoon interjected.

“..Thanks—”

“And that’s why I really like you.” Jihoon said firmly, cutting Hyeonjoon's response.

“What do you mean by that..?” Hyeonjoon asked, eyes widening from the sudden confession.

“I meant what I said. I like you. I like you to the point that I couldn’t hide it anymore!" Jihoon quietly exclaimed, "I’ve been in love with you since our DRX days because you’re just… honestly the kindest person I have ever met.”

“You’re patient with me despite my constant teasing and nagging. I know I highkey drive you insane, but you never make me feel like I am a burden to you,"  Jihoon added. "You just let me be myself and even play with my silly antics. You always approach me with a smile despite being tired from practice." The younger paused for a while.

"I have thousands upon thousands of reasons to love you—you make it relatively easy to make me do so.” Jihoon continued, breaking eye contact from the older.

Hyeonjoon fell silent while listening to Jihoon ramble, then realization hit him.

Did Jihoon just say he loves me?

“...And did you really think that I would put cat keycaps specifically to the letters ‘R, A, N’ just because I see you as a friend? Hyeonjoon-hyung, that's kind of oblivious of you honestly…” Jihoon mumbled.

“I know this is sudden but I just can’t pretend that I don’t have feelings for you. I can’t keep pretending that I don’t see you as more than anything but a friend…”

“...ke you too”

“Ah, I said too much… forgive me hyung I wasn’t thinking straight. I think I’m still tipsy from the drinks earlier and…And now I’m rambling…” Jihoon embarrassedly covered his face with the palm of his hands.

Hyeonjoon chuckled and removed the younger’s hand on his face and gently scooted closer to him.

“Jihoon-ah, it’s okay..” the older comforted the younger.

“Because I like you too.”

Jihoon looked at Hyeonjoon, eyes wide. Did he hear it correctly?

“H-huh..?” was the only word Jihoon could reply.

“You’re unbelievable… I know that you heard me the first time.” The older one chuckled.

“I said I like you…” Hyeonjoon repeated, clearing his throat. “The same way as you like me.”

Jihoon couldn’t hide the smile that he was suppressing. Of course he heard it loud and clear the first time. He just wanted to hear it again from his hyung.

“Oh my god.” the younger man was stunned from pure happiness.

“Hyung can I… Can I hug you?” Jihoon said, hesitating.

Without a reply, Hyeonjoon was the one who initiated the hug and held the younger man in front of him tightly.

“I’ve been hugging you since we knew each other and a whole lot today," the older giggled. "The same goes for you before all of... this. So why ask permission now?” Hyeonjoon replied, chuckling at the younger’s awkwardness while burying his face on Jihoon’s chest.

“But Hyeonjoonie hyung this is different!” the younger man debated.

They remained in that position for a long while, melting in each other’s arms. Jihoon couldn't help but nuzzle his nose on the older, breathing in the smell of shampoo the older man always used.

The feelings they have so desperately hidden because of fear was finally out in the open—reciprocated.

After the night they confessed each other's feelings, things were relatively going smoothly for the new lovers. Nothing changed much except their label. Behind closed doors, they can be found cuddling on the couch and would sometimes sleep together after their tiring scheduled streams. They became each other’s resting place and nothing could be better than what they were experiencing. It had been their silent agreement to keep their relationship secret because it was still quite new and they were still navigating through their new affair. They also didn't know how to bring the topic up in the first place, so they tried being lowkey around each other when their teammates were around.

While the two were just casually chatting in their dorm’s shared dining area and were sitting beside each other eating their lunch, Wangho caught sight of the two and walked towards them. Jihoon saw the older man approaching and greeted him.

"Oh hey, hyung, wanna eat lunch with us?" Jihoon asked.

"Yeah, sure!" Wangho sat down on one of the available chairs and settled his lunch on the table. "What are you two having today?" Wangho peeked at the two's lunch, curious.

"I'm having jokbal today while Jihoonie's having jjimdak." the toplaner replied, "It's surprisingly good! Wanna try some?" Hyeonjoon offered while picking up some pork from his plate. Wangho politely declined raising and showing his own takeout lunch for today. They continued chattering about their day with Wangho complaining about what happened earlier on his day. He somehow had to apologize to a whole audience of people on Jaehyuk's behalf because of how the ADC screeched endless profanities as he accidentally bumped his forehead as they were entering the restaurant. Apparently when Wangho opened the door, the older man wasn't looking and didn't notice that the glass door was closing on him. The jungler was so embarrassed for making a ruckus and had to sincerely apologize for the older's behavior, bowing a full 90 degree while shoving the older's head to bow alongside him.

The duo, alongside Wangho, laughed at the story while they continued eating their lunch.

“Oh yeah, I’m just curious,” Wangho asked, interrupting the two from eating.

“Yeah?” Both replied in unison and the jungler chuckled because of this.

"Did you two finally get together?” Wangho said directly while waving his chopsticks at the two. This earned a choke from the Hyeonjoon with Jihoon immediately rubbing and patting his back.

“How—” Hyeonjoon replied after he recovered.

“What do you mean finally, hyung?” the younger added hiding the smile that was forming but was failing miserably.

Wangho sighed and said “It’s about time y’know. We’re so sick and tired of the push and pull both of you are doing.”

We?” Hyeonjoon questioned, "W-What do you mean 'we'?" but he already knew the answer.

“Oh my god quit the act, Hyeonjoonie. We know there’s something going on between the two of you but we didn’t want to put our noses in both of your business, so we waited.” The eldest rolled his eyes.

“But I’m nosy and thought this was the right timing to ask since I can talk with the both of you alone without the ruckus.” Wangho added.

“Oh my god…” Hyeonjoon covered his face with his palms.

Jihoon was laughing now. He was the one to answer on Hyeonjoon's behalf. “Yeah hyung, we’ve kinda been a thing since the season ended… We wanted to keep it a secret since we were still figuring things out but I guess we were too obvious, huh?”

“Both of you were bad at hiding it honestly,” Wangho rolled his eyes, “Don’t even think I didn’t see that both of you were holding hands underneath the table before I walked in here.” he added.

As if he could not be even redder, Hyeonjoon had to stop the embarrassing moment unfolding in front of him.

“Okay that’s enough, hyung!” Hyeonjoon flailing his arms and fanning his face to calm himself down.

Without saying any other word, Wangho finished his lunch and stood up. He clapped and put his hands together, making a loud sound which startled the two.

“Now that it’s official, I just want to say that we accept your relationship, okay? No need to get awkward around your elder brothers; they had suspicions from the start anyway.” Wangho gave them a fond, reassuring smile.

“Thank you, hyung.” Jihoon replied, heart grateful at the older man in front of him.

“No, no... thank you.” The jungler laughed and left the kitchen, not waiting for any reply from the partners.

Jihoon and Hyeonjoon looked at each other still processing what happened a while ago. After recovering, the younger one smiled at the older and the older smiled back at him. Approval from people close to you is such a heartwarming experience and knowing that their hyungs were happy about their relationship made it easier to navigate through it.

The top-mid duo finished their lunch and Hyeonjoon stood up to clean the dishes they used. There was a ping heard coming from each of their phones and Jihoon immediately checked his phone. He was surprised at the sudden flood of notifications from their team group chat so he opened it.
