It was a bright, sunny day, and I was making tea when I saw my boyfriend, Garnold.
”Good morning, babe!” I said happily.
"*yawn* Morning, sweetie." Garnold said, smiling softly.
I kissed him on the cheek.
”Damn… feels kinda quiet since Mr. Fun Computer went to college last week…” Garnold said sadly.
"Yeah...at least he's confident enough to be his own person." I said.
”Yeah… I still miss my sons, though…” Garnold said, still frowning.
"I know, Garnold, I know. I do, too, but we need to let them grow up. They're always going to love us, don't worry." I said, kissing his forehead.
"Yeah...I guess..." Garnold said.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
"Wonder who that could be." I said.
I opened the door to see my best friends, Raddy and OWAKCX. And their kids, Amy and Heather.
"Hi, guys." I said.
”Yo.” Raddy said.
“CLUKR!” OWAKCX said happily, before hugging me.
"Oof. How are you?" I asked, hugging him back.
“We’re doing good.” Raddy said.
Garnold walked into the room.
"What brings you guys here?" he asked.
”Oh, nothing, just wanted to hang out with our homies, right OWAKCX?” Raddy asked.
”Yup!” OWAKCX said happily.
"And I see you brought your kids." I noted.
”Uncle Clukr! Uncle Garny!” Amy said, trying to walk towards me and Garnold.
"Hey, kiddo. How are you?" I said, patting her on the head.
”Good!” she said happily.
"That's good." I said.
Amy put her arms up and made the grabby hands at me, so I picked her up.
”You’re so cute!” I said happily.
Amy giggled.
“Wanna hold Heather?” OWAKCX asked Garnold.
"Alright." Garnold said.
He picked her up.
”She looks just like her mom.” Garnold said, smiling.
”She sure does!” OWAKCX said happily.
I looked at Garnold lovingly.
”You know Clukr, I think you should propose to Garnold today.” Raddy said, whispering.
I shoved him.
"Be quiet, shoulder devil." I hissed.
”What? It’s true! You have been dating him for 9 years after all.” Raddy said.
"Yeah, well-"
"And you have two kids with him!"
”B-but what if he says no?” I asked nervously.
"But what if I have a mushroom growing out of my head?" Raddy said.
"That’s impossible."
"Exactly. Look Clukr, even I was nervous about proposing to Durple. But it all worked out in the end.” Raddy said.
”You’re lucky he actually was ready to marry you. But…” I sighed. ”I don’t know if Garnold’s ready to marry me though… or if he even wants to marry me at all…”
I started looking at Garnold play with Heather. He'd always been good with kids, and Heather seemed to be having the time of her short life.
”You can do this, I believe in you.” Raddy said, smiling at me.
”Thanks Raddy…” I said, still very nervous though.
”Daddy, what are you talking about?” Amy asked.
"Clukr is a coward." Raddy said.
"Heeeey!" I said, glaring at him.
I noticed Amy was playing with my cymbal.
“I think she really likes your cymbal.” Raddy said.
"Spinny!" Amy squeaked.
"Yes, Amy, it does spin." I said.
I looked at Garnold, and I saw him being sweet, and I felt quite lovesick. Maybe it is time to propose to him…or maybe I could wait another three years, just to be safe. I smacked myself. No, I've delayed it too much.
"Dude, why'd you slap yourself?" Raddy asked.
”Nothing…” I said.
"WHAT DID HE DO??"
Garnold's eyes were full of worry, but I was more focused on the fact that we had approximately 5 seconds before Heather started scream-crying.
“Oh no…”
OWAKCX gently took his baby from Garnold and hugged her tightly. Unfortunately, Heather started crying.
”Shh. It’s ok, I’m here.” OWAKCX said calmly… which is surprising because he’s usually never this calm.
Heather started calming down.
”I never knew you could be this calm OWAKCX.” I said.
"Same, but I guess Heather needs someone to be calm, so I learned for her." OWAKCX said.
”Aww!” I said.
”Vineria helped me with it.” OWAKCX said.
"That's good." I said.
Just then, I felt a little hand yank on my cymbal.
”Hey!” I said, giggling.
Amy was pulling on my cymbal, and I bounced her playfully.
"Are you sure you wanna do that?" I said playfully.
"Ah?" Amy said in her cute toddler way.
Raddy smirked at me, and I took that as consent for what I was about to tell Amy.
"If you do that again, I'm gonna tickle you!" I said.
"Noooo!" Amy squeaked.
”Alright, you asked for it!” I said.
I attacked Amy's neck as she squealed at me.
"Stahahahahahahp!!!"
"What's the magic word, Amy?"
Amy just kept squealing. I continued to tickle her as Garnold looked at me lovingly.
“Y'know… I always forget that you guys aren’t even engaged yet.” OWAKCX said.
"Shut up." I said.
OWAKCX rolled his eyes. I noticed Heather was down for the count in his arms, and she was eating her tiny hand.
”I hope he proposes to me soon…” Garnold said sighing softly.
I looked at Garnold, and it didn't look like he knew I'd heard him. That’s when I made up my mind, I was finally going to propose to Garnold. But I needed to get permission from his parents and sister first…

I was walking to Garnold's parents' house at 5 in the morning. I'd left while Garnold was still asleep so that I'd be able to return with flowers for him to see before he fully woke up. I'd already asked his dads if it was okay to come at this time, and they said yes. Soon, I'd made it, though it was only an hour's walk, even at 4 in the morning. I knocked on the door, and one of Garnold's dads opened it.
"Morning, sir!" I said.
"Morning. How are you today?" Michael asked.
"I'm good, how are you?" I said.
“I’m good!” he said.
"That's good. May I step inside?" I asked.
"Of course! David is waiting just inside!" he said.
“Alright.” I said.
I walked in, and I noticed Anna and her kids, Hailey and Evan was also there. She smiled at me softly and a little sleepily.
"I'm just gonna cut to the chase. You know I've been with Garnold for nine years, right?" I said.
"Yeah, I'm surprised it wasn't longer." Anna said.
"Well, I want to propose. Do I have permission from you?" I asked.
Anna gasped.
”Really?! she asked.
"Really." I said.
"Of course you have permission! I'm surprised you didn't get married like five years ago!" Anna said.
I looked at Garnold's parents, and they both nodded eagerly.
"Alright. Thank you for your time." I said, standing up.
"Clukr, do you have a ring for him yet?" Anna asked.
"No, but-"
"You're coming with me! Let's buy a ring! Come on, the best jewler's opening now!" Anna said, grabbing me and her kids.
”H-huh?!” I said, surprised.
”Mommy, where are we going?” Hailey asked.
"Well, we're going to go get a ring for Clukr to propose to your uncle!" Anna said.
Evan yawned widely, which made sense. It was 5 in the morning, after all.
“Come on! Let’s go!” Anna said happily.
I climbed into Anna's car while she buckled her sleepy children in.
“I’m still really nervous about this, Anna…” I said, sighing as I buckled myself in.
"Clukr, my brother's been in love with you for over a decade and a half. He'll say yes before you even ask the whole question." Anna said.
"But what if-"
"But nothing. He loves you, you love him. Your kids will be super excited." Anna said.
Right as Anna mentioned my kids, I heard her kids start snoring from the backseat.
”I hope so…” I said, looking out the window.
"What'cha worried about?" Anna asked.
"What if I get the wrong ring and he hates me? What if he says no?" I said.
"Clukr, Garnold would say yes if you proposed to him with a ring made of used tissues." Anna said.
"I want it to be perfect." I said.
”It’ll be perfect, no matter what ring you pick.” Anna said
"Are you sure?" I asked.
”Yup!” she said.
I sat without saying anything, but I glanced in the backseat. Evan and Hailey were both sleeping peacefully.
”Hailey and Evan will be very happy to see you guys get married, y'know.” she said, smiling.
"Yeah, I bet. They're usually happy to see us period." I said.
"They're probably not happy I woke them up so early." Anna said.
”Yeah, probably.” I said, feeling a bit better.
As we turned the corner to the jewler's, Evan's head lolled against his carseat.
”Hey sweeties, we’re here!” Anna said to her kids.
Anna parked the car and opened the door on Hailey's side, shaking her gently to wake her up, and once she was awake, Anna did the same to Evan. Once both of the kids were awake, we went inside.
”Oooooh! It’s so pretty here, Mommy!” Hailey said.
"Why are we here?" Evan asked.
I noticed he was rubbing his eyes sleepily.
”We’re getting a ring so I can propose to Uncle Garnold.” I said.
“What do you mean?” Evan asked, confused.
"I want to marry him, and proposing is asking someone to marry you." I said.
"Oh." Evan said before he yawned.
"But aren't 'cha already married?" Hailey asked.
"Not yet." I said.
"I'm still surprised about that." Anna said. ”And I’m also surprised that Garnold didn’t propose to you yet, Clukr!”
"I overheard him saying he hopes I propose." I said.
“Well, let’s go buy your boyfriend a ring, then!” Anna said happily
Evan and Hailey stared at us as Anna dragged me to the diamond rings.
"I-I think I wanna go with his birthstone, actually." I said.
”Okay!” Anna said.
I waked over to the peridot rings, and I saw the perfect one before I realized something.
"I forgot to measure Garnold's ring size." I said.
"Hey, don't worry, I know his ring size! I got him a ring like five years ago to tell him he was gonna be an uncle!" Anna said.
"That's good. Is this ring his size?" I asked, pointing to it.
”I think so!” she said.
The jewler walked up to us.
"So you found the special lady, huh?" he said.
”It’s… a guy…” I said nervously.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" he said.
”It’s ok, don’t worry, man.” I said.
The jewler noticed that I was looking at a peridot ring with rose gold.
"I see you've got your eye on that one, huh?" he said.
"Yeah. I think my boyfriend would love it." I said.
”Yup!” Anna said happily.
"It’s even in his size." I said.
”Oh, really? That’s great!” he said.
"Yeah. I'm sure he'll love it! How much is it?" I said.
”$700.” he said.
"That’s pretty cheap!" I said.
“Mhm!” he said.
I passed him my debit card, and he scanned it and put the ring in a box. The box itself was beautiful, and I wondered if Garnold would like it.

I came home as quietly as I could, and I peeked into the bedroom, hoping Garnold hadn't woken up yet. Thankfully, he was still sound asleep. I approached quietly, marveling at how beautiful he was. I looked around the room and saw a picture of me, Garnold, Raddy, and OWAKCX as teenagers. It filled me with nostalgia instantly.
It’s been so long...
I noticed Garnold was snoring softly with the blanket at his waist, so I tucked him in again to make sure he slept well.
”Sleep well, Sunny.” I said before kissing him on his forehead.
Garnold smiled in his sleep, and I decided to make breakfast while he was still in this state.
“I hope he says yes…” I said to myself, sighing.
I went into the kitchen and started cooking eggs and bacon. Simple enough to do well. I somehow didn't burn anything, when I was done cooking, I went back to our bedroom, and saw that Garnold was still fast asleep. I pulled out a lap table, and I kissed Garnold's forehead.
"Morning, hon." I said, shaking him a little.
Garnold's eyes fluttered open.
”Morning, sweetie.” Garnold said sleepily.
"I made you some breakfast." I said.
Garnold looked at the lap table.
"What's the occassion?" he asked.
"Nothing special, I just love you." I said.
The lie would be worth it.
”You’re so sweet, y'know.” Garnold said.
"Thanks, sweetheart." I said, smiling softly.
I watched Garnold take a bite of his breakfast.
”This reminds me of what my mom used to make me and Anna every day before we went to school…” Garnold said sadly.
"Aww, I've got you." I said, hugging him.
”Thanks, Flutters.” he said.
"Don’t mention it. Now, how about you finish eating, and we can plan our day?" I said.
”Okay!” Garnold said, smiling.
While Garnold enjoyed his eggs, I got myself a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch because I'd already put the eggs away and we were out of bacon.
”Oh yeah, and by the way…” I said.
”Yeah?” Garnold asked.
”Can we go to our special spot after we’re done eating?” I asked.
"Of course, just let me wake up and shower, y'know?" Garnold said.
”Okay, Dashie!” I said.
Garnold chuckled a little and kissed my cheek.
After a few minutes, we finished eating.
”You ready, Garnold?” I asked.
”Yup!” he said happily.
I took the lap table from him and let him stand up.
”Come on princess, let’s go.” I said, grabbing his hand.
"Hey, lemme get dressed first!" Garnold said, kissing me again.
"Oops." I said, grabbing our dishes.
While I left Garnold to get dressed, I washed all the dishes and put them neatly away. I was still really nervous about proposing to him, but I was ready. I felt the ring box in my pocket, and I gazed at it as I heard the shower turn on.
I watched an hour pass, and I decided to prepare a picnic for us. It was a nice day, anyways, with that beautiful autumn scent, and I was enjoying it very much. Just then, Garnold came out wearing my hoodie.
”I’m ready!” he said happily.
"Is that my hoodie?" I asked.
"Maaaaaaybe?" Garnold said.
"You look adorable in it." I said, kissing his forehead.
Garnold blushed.
“S-shut up…” Garnold said, pouting.
"You know you're being so cute right now, right? I could kiss you until you pop!" I said.
"I'm not, sh-shut up." Garnold said.
His face was a deep shade of pink.
"But actually, you are." I said.
”Hmph. Whatever, let’s just go already.” he said, still pouting, but taking my hand.
"Cutie~" I said, putting the last sandwich in the basket.
Garnold huffed, but he smiled at me.
”Ready?” I asked.
”Yup!” he said happily.
"Then let's go!" I said.
We went on our way to our special spot, but we did have to briefly stop because Mr. Fun Computer wanted to video call us. Since the call was just a brief 'good morning' call, it went pretty fast. However, I noticed he'd talked a lot about his roommate named Elliot.
”Looks like Mr. Fun Computer’s got his first crush, huh?” I said, smirking a little bit.
"I'm proud of him." Garnold said.
"So am I. Wonder how Fun Bot's doing." I said.
”I’m sure he’s having a great time now that he’s living with Luna.” Garnold said.
"Yeah. I'm proud of him for getting a girlfriend, honestly." I said.
"Same." Garnold said.
We sat for a moment before we kept on walking.
”Hey, you okay, Clukr? You’re sweating a little bit.” he said.
"I-I'm fine, just a little warm." I said.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
”Y-yeah… oh look! We’re here.” I said nervously.
I pulled the blanket out of the basket, and Garnold helped me spread it. Then, we both laid on top of it and enjoyed watching the leaves fall. If I hadn't been so nervous, the atmosphere could have soothed me right to sleep. We didn't talk for a few minutes, and I was doing my best to hype myself up internally while Garnold grabbed a sandwich.
”Uhh… G-Garnold…?” I asked nervously.
”Yeah?” Garnold asked.
I took a deep breath, pulled the ring out of my pocket, and opened the box. Garnold's eyes widened in an instant, and he was completely frozen.
”Garnold, before I met you, I was alone and afraid. But… on the first day of middle school, you came into my life and.. made me feel a lot happier, with you, I finally made friends, real friends that actually cared about me. And yeah, some people left, but I still had friends, thanks to you. And without you, I would have killed myself a long time ago. And then, you chose to love me the way I'd started to love you, and being with you has made me the happiest man alive. But what I’m trying to say is… will you marry me?” I finally asked.
Garnold sniffled a little, and I realized he was crying.
"Yes." he breathed.
”R-really?” I asked
“Of course I do, silly!” Garnold said happily, wiping the tears from his eyes.
I leaned in close to Garnold, grabbed his hand, and slipped the ring on his finger before I kissed him. I felt him kiss me back while our hair was flowing in the breeze. We stayed like that for a while, and after a few minutes, I pulled back.
”I love you so much Garnold.” I said, smiling.
”I love you too.” he said, also smiling.

It was a very important day, and I was panicking while I adjusted my suit to be perfect for him.
“You look beautiful, Garnold.” Durple said.
"Thanks, but am I perfect yet?" I asked.
"Garnold, trust me, Clukr would be happy if you wore a paper bag." Durple said.
”Yup!” Anna said happily.
"If you guys say so..." I said.
”He’s going to love seeing you in your suit, Papa.” Fun Bot said.
"If you say so. I hope you're right." I said.
Internally, I was vibrating with excitement at how handsome I knew Clukr was going to look in his suit. I walked over to Jenna, Black and Lia’s 9 year old daughter.
”Ready to go?” I asked, looking at the black and purple Sprunkling.
Jenna nodded vigorously.
”Alright then!” I said.
Anna took my hand as we began to walk towards the isle. As I looked down it, I saw that Clukr was standing there, and I felt myself fall in love all over again.
”Our little girl is all grown up, honey!” Black said, crying.
Lia rolled her eyes gently.
"Well, this isn't her day." she said.
I kept walking don the aisle, still staring at Clukr. It was still so surreal that he'd even proposed, let alone that we were getting married. Soon enough, we reached Clukr and Mr. Tree, and Anna went to sit with her husband and kids. I had to use every muscle in my body to resist kissing Clukr.
"We are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Clukr Silvers and Garnold Goldman, two best friends who unexpectedly fell in love with each other.” Mr. Tree said.
I was sweating, and I could feel happy tears building up. I noticed Clukr was also starting to tear up from happiness. I had literally never been happier in my life.
”Do you have anything to say, Clukr?” Mr. Tree asked.
Clukr took a deep breath.
"Garnold, I've been so madly in love with you for so long. You've always been the one to make me smile, and I've been so, so happy to be the reason you smile. I want to fall asleep next to you and wake up to see your face every day. I'd let the world burn for you." he said, grabbing my hand.
”C-Clukr…” I said, starting to tear up even more.
"Garnold, do you have anything to say?" Mr. Tree asked.
”Clukr, when I became friends with you all those years ago, I never thought I’d be marrying you today, but I’m really happy to be doing that today because… you’re honestly the best thing that ever happened to me Clukr, and I’m super happy to be the Rainbow Dash to your Fluttershy.” I said.
"Speak now or forever hold your peace." Mr. Tree said.
Nobody spoke.
"I now pronounce you married. You may now-"
Before Mr. Tree could even finish, Clukr pulled me into a passionate kiss, which I eagerly returned.
"Aaaaaaand, they're kissing. I bet they can't even hear me." Mr. Tree said.
Soon, everyone started clapping. Oren, Raddy, OWAKCX and Simon were all pretty emotional though.
”That’s my bro!” Oren said, crying and clapping.
”oh Angel… you would be so proud of Garnold if you were here…” my dad said, smiling as he put his arm around his husband.
“This is so beautiful…” Luke said, crying happily.
”LETS GOOOO!” Connor said happily.
Silvia giggled.
”YAYYYY!” Fun Bot and Mr. Fun Computer said happily.
”IT’S CANON Y’ALL!” OWAKCX said, crying.
”Dude shut up, it’s always been canon.” Raddy said, wiping his eyes and smiling.
”Yup.” Vineria said, smiling as she held Heather.
”YEAHHHH!” Simon said, crying.
”AWWWWWWWW!” Anna said happily.
Clukr and I broke apart slowly, and I felt lightheaded from my pure joy.
“I love you so much, Clukr.” I said, now crying from happiness.
"I love you, too." Clukr said, kissing my forehead.
Clukr picked me up and carried me bridal style all the way to the car, and we drove to the reception. I felt like I was touching the highest heavens, and this truly was the happiest day of my life. Clukr seemed to agree as he kept on kissing all over me.
This was better than I could have ever imagined.
