Imagine...
... Convincing Takaba to go out on a dinner date with you. You'd ordered a cavity-inducing dish for dessert to share, the waitress dropping it off at your table with a singular spoon and a knowing look.
Without hesitation, you grab the utensil, mischief gleaming in your eyes as you prompt him to "Say ahhhh!"
At the whims of your charms he doesn't dare refuse, biting down harder into the silverware than he intended with the force of his laughter.
"It's delicious!" He exclaims afterwards, playfully swatting your hand away as you go in for seconds.
"Your turn!"
He eagerly takes the spoon in his hands, scooping up a ridiculous amount that's already sliding off back onto the plate as he angles it inches from your mouth.
"Now departing from Shinjuku station! All aboard!"
A fit of laughter overtakes you, making the task of being fed even more difficult than it already was due to the mess. But somehow, the comedian prevails, and you're both left doubling over in your seats with tears of pure joy in your eyes.
You miss the way he sends a brief, lovestruck glance in your direction, no doubt in his mind that he's found the one person he's resolved to make laugh for the rest of his life.
