“Top star Ryu Sunjae ties the knot with rising film director Im Sol in a star studded private wedding today — Eclipse members attend the short press conference on behalf of their vocalist.”
“Ryu Sunjae x Im Sol — A love story that transcends time ; A source close to the 2 during their High School years spills the tea on the couple’s romance.”
Those are just some of the headlines that popped out of the Naver homepage this morning and in a matter of seconds, the tags related to Sunjae, Eclipse and Sol’s new movie were already in the top trending list. Fans reacted with diverse emotions ; some surprised, happy and some heartbroken over their dearest heartthrob's news of him now being officially off the market.
‘Well I must say….. Hyung definitely knows how to break thousands of his fangirls' hearts today. With all these reactions, I think he might need to really post that letter that has been put off for a while now. Don’t you think?’
Dongseok, Sunjae’s manager paced around as he fumbled through his gray blazer jacket looking rather stressed for someone who was supposed to attend a joyous event. The man looked as if thousands of years had been plucked out of him with the way you could literally see the eye bags under his eyes.
Baek In Hyuk ever the cool guy simply chuckled as he attempted to fix his navy tie over the vanity of the hotel suite they were staying in, glancing over their stressed manager he simply replied with a smile.
‘Dongseok ah, don’t you ever get used to it ? It’s not like Sunjae’s the first celebrity who got married in our agency. Didn’t you used to handle Mingyu sunbae from SV Boys before too? His fangirls reacted in different ways too but hey! They got over it and accepted that Mingyu sunbae was already taken. Also just wait a couple of days…. Once the news dies down, then those crazy keyboard haters will also disappear. For now just enjoy the party downstairs and try to keep daepyonim in check…’
Jay and Hyunsoo both laugh at the mention of their big boss. The 2 immediately pulled out the videos they took of their ‘respected daepyonim’ sobbing while Sunjae and Sol were exchanging vows earlier. The older man couldn’t help it but cried tears of joy all throughout the romantic ceremony. It felt as if he was sending his eldest child to be married. But then again, since his favorite was Ryu Sunjae ….. We could understand him.
Eventually the 3 Eclipse members freshen up and join the rest of the guests once again downstairs for a long night of partying and celebration.

It would be an understatement to say this was the happiest moment of Ryu Sunjae’s life… but the reality is— this was in fact the happiest day of his life. He just couldn’t really comprehend how he really ended up marrying his ‘first love’ and also ‘his only love’. It took so much for them to achieve this ending together and yet here he was….. A few hours later after their intensely private wedding and a few hours after announcing to the world that he was permanently taken. In order to protect their relationship and Sol, Sunjae never publicized the identity of his girlfriend through the one year period they had as girlfriend and boyfriend. He simply confirmed that he was in fact dating and that he preferred to have privacy for his partner. But now that he was married and through mutual agreement with Sol, his company was the one to release her identity and the news that shocked the nation : That today was their wedding and that Ryu Sunjae was now someone’s husband.
Sunjae smiled blissfully as he approached his wife in the huge bathroom of their suite, the couple had preferred to rest up for the night after partying it up all throughout the night. Sunjae had chosen to perform a few hours ago at his own reception, dedicating the hit Eclipse song ‘Sudden Shower’ to his new bride ; there were definitely a few teary eyes that night and some— sneaky fancams. (which will definitely blow the internet as soon as they were leaked)
‘Kkamjagya! Nolaetjahna!’
Sol shrieks as a pair of strong arms wrapped around her petite waist and suddenly she could feel her husband’s lips on her neck. Sol smiles and turns her face a bit to plant a gentle peck on Sunjae’s cheeks.
‘Saranghae — Yeobo’
Sol smiles in response and turns around to face her husband,under the dim lighting of the Shilla Hotel’s honeymoon suite. Sol gently caresses Sunjae’s face and replies in a hushed whisper as if not believing that this was the moment— that this was real and here they were still passionately in love, married and finally in each other's arms after all those tragic, heartbreaking yet tumultuous timelines.
‘I love you so much Sunjae yah…. In every universe and timeline, I will continue to do so.’
And so the newlyweds spent their first night as husband and wife with much passion; after helping his bride take off her reception gown; Ryu Sunjae wasted no time to even let her change into her nightwear and carried Sol bridal style with much ease, surprising her. In that honeymoon suite the couple spent a passionate night consummating their marriage making it more real than ever. After a couple of rounds (much to Sunjae’s delight) ; he would delicately help his wife clean up and the couple would end up in the huge hot tub together just as the clock ticked to 11:00.
With her damp air tied in a messy bun, she lay her sore body on his and he took in the warmth of her body, his hands occasionally brushing over her arms and waist as the distant sound of that one classic lp record he put on played on. At around 12:00, the couple were ready to call it a night and amidst the craziness that was taking place outside of their own bubble as Sol entered dreamland. Sunjae finally reached for his phone after hours of not touching it.
The notifications all blew up, congratulatory messages from friends, celebrities and even a message from his dad reminding him to start trying for a grandchild by tonight as his not getting any younger.
But Sunjae instead heads over to select some snapshots (a picture he took of the sky this morning; a close up shot of Sol’s wedding bouquet and finally a film picture Inhyuk sent him of him and Sol embracing and kissing as they reached the end of the aisle after finally being married with petals flying everywhere). The look of pure happiness etched on his face felt like a good option to show his fans that he was truly happy and that he hoped for them to join him in this new happiness that he had felt.
After hours of silence and after a few hours since his agency briefly responded to the news. Ryu Sunjae personally posts a heartfelt message confirming it by himself.
‘Hello! This is Ryu Sunjae. The weather has gotten quite chilly recently; with occasional downpours here and there. I hope all of you are keeping warm as you go on with your daily lives. My fans will always be very important to me hence when the news broke out this morning; I felt saddened that I could not be the one to personally announce such an important moment of my life on my own. However, as stated in what has already been written ; this morning I married the love of my life. She is someone who supported me throughout my high’s and lows and has been a constant strength for me since our school years. I used to say that I hated rain when I first debuted because it reminded me of the pool that I swam in everyday back when I was preparing for competitions when I was in high school. Strangely enough, One rainy morning more than 10 years ago, my love came splashing in under a sudden shower. And ever since then my heart has become healthier and fuller with the love that I’ve received. I sincerely thank everyone who has supported me since then and hope that you’ll stay in the adventure for many more years to come. I will come back as Eclipse’s Sunjae or as Actor Sunjae soon to show all of you a newer and better image of myself. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.’
And just like that, Sunjae sends the internet flying once again to chaos with people melting over such a heartfelt message and as Sunjae dreams over their future; he lays there wrapping his wife in his arms dreaming of their future together and even planning for what is ahead.
