✨ WELCOME TO BOOK TWO: THE WORLD STAGE! ✨
OMG HIII!! It’s been, what, like 4 days? and I’m already back!! 😂 Don't get bored of me yet LMAOOO HEHE! I just couldn't stay away from our boy Eijun for too long! I AM BACKKKK WITH THE SECOND BOOK! YAYYYYYY! 🎉⚾💎
Since we are diving into the international level, things work a little differently than Koshien, so I wanted to give you guys a quick roadmap of how this U-18 World Tournament is going to go down! 🗺️🔥
🏟️ The Tournament Structure:
⚾ The Opening Round: Japan will be in a group with 5 other countries. We play everyone once! It’s all about surviving and getting those wins early. 🇯🇵🔥
📈 The Super Round: This is where it gets intense! Only the top 3 teams from each group move up. The cool (and scary) part is that the wins/losses you got against the other top teams in your group carry over! You can't afford to lose even once! 📈😱
🥇 The Gold Medal Match: The top two teams from the Super Round face off for the ultimate glory—the World Championship! 🥇🏆
✍️ The "Author’s Choice" Rules (PLEASE READ!):
💥 The 9-Inning Rule: In real-life U-18 WBSC tournaments, they usually only play 7 innings. BUT IN THIS STORY, WE ARE STAYING WITH 9 INNINGS! ⚾💥 I want more time for the drama, the "Surgical" masterclasses, and the epic showdowns. 7 innings is way too fast for the chaos I have planned!
🚫 Pitch Count & Rest Rules: In the real world, there are very strict rules about how many pitches you can throw before you have to rest for 4 days. I MIGHT USE OR NOT USE THESE RULES as I see fit! 🚫🤷♂️ Sometimes I might follow them, but if it gets in the way of a dramatic moment or a smooth piece of storytelling, I’m going to prioritize the hype!
