Cyn had asked Uzi a question one day — a dumb question, honestly, but Uzi had been thinking about it lately.
“Would you ever get rid of me if you had the chance?”
Of course, Uzi had obviously said yes. Who would ever want an annoying, virus-like, end-of-the-world–causing tail stuck to them forever? But now she was rethinking that answer.
It was nice to have someone to talk to when she was bored, even if they kept her up at night. I guess yeah, she had N… but he wasn’t always around. It had been a week or so since they had asked Uzi about it.
And now? She definitely didn’t believe in her old answer anymore.
Time skip uwuwwu
“Psst, hey, PSSSTTTTTTTTTTT!!!” Cyn, the solver thingy, had woken her up, At FOUR A.M.!! It was the fifth time this week.
“What. I’m trying to sleep here…” Uzi responded dryly. She was not in the mood for this.
“Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, can you move? I’m in an uncomfortable position right here…”
It almost sounded like pleading — if it weren’t for their monotone, dry voice.
“No. And… if I had the chance? I would keep you. ONLY if you don’t try to end the world again.”
There was a pause of silence. Cyn was clearly stunned.
“Wait, what?! I knew it…!” Cyn said in deadpan excitement. If it weren’t for her voice, maybe it would have sounded more excited.
“Yes. Now goodnight.”
It was only a matter of seconds before Cyn shouted, “Wait, nooo, Uziiiiii!!”
There was no point anymore. Uzi had finally dozed off.
