Chapter 1: Basira's Instructions

Chapter Text

 Dear Martin and Jon,

I’ve written out the things you’ll need to know, like which trains to take, directions to the cabin, and contact details for those of us still at the Institute. I’m glad you’re both safe and (mostly) well, it’s a relief to know you made it out of The Lonely in one piece.

Oh, and Jon, nice one- putting those powers to good use instead of feeding on innocent bystanders :)

I am preparing to leave as well- I’m going to find Daisy. She’s still pursuing Julia and Trevor, as far as I know, but if luck is on our side for once, I’ll be able to get her back.

Georgie- and Melanie, surprisingly enough- wish you both all the best.

Phone me when you get the chance, alright?

I’ll be thinking of you,

Basira

INSTRUCTIONS:

Contact details- Jon already has Georgie’s number, but mine and Melanie’s are as follows:

Basira Hussain- 07403969436

Melanie King- 07619149746

Directions to the safehouse- You need to get a train from London Euston to Glasgow Central, and then from there you will need to take another train to Lionel Village Station.

The house is about a ten minute walk from the village. You’ll need to follow the main road up to the first farmhouse, which should be painted yellow (if they haven’t repainted, which I very much doubt as it’s been that way for the better part of three decades). Then, turn left onto the footpath, until you reach the picnic benches. There should then be a long, long path with lots of stones. You only need to walk along it for a few minutes- you’ll see the cabin, I promise. Can’t miss it!

The code for the key box next to the door is 1818.

If you need a car for any reason, the couple in the farmhouse are lovely- Rich and Niall. They’ll know who you are, I’ve told them you’re both coming.

Top tip: The sunsets there are STUNNING. Make the most of them.
