Work Text:
Beth takes the diary with widened eyes. The red-haired woman promises "You'll save the world" and vanishes. A heavy burden to lay on a child.
She'll re-read it a thousand times; every word of it comes true. At first, "Beth the Hero" will be her private game. Later, it becomes her purpose. The reason why she draws each breath.
The road she sets herself upon will always lead to one conclusion: she doesn't stop the Fracture. Time ends.
Beth re-writes the diary from memory anyway. She will find that little girl, and Beth will tell herself: "You'll save the world."
