Back then, They were teenager, a simple human in their youthfull days of adventure and chaotic life.
Having power were simply a call for wonder, a thrilling but memorable experience gained through explorations the unknown.
Fighting the evil were a call for moral obligation, a prove their were standing up for what they knew was justice and right.
Staying in that organization not out of loyality but rather a lingering feeling of familiar place and ally, attachment of fondness rather duty.
They thought it is going to be over anyway, human had always short life with limited of choice.
Maybe when they finally tired, they will quit.
Maybe when their life demand more mundane job, they will delegate so they can leave following their dreams.
Maybe soon enough people going to say they already old, thus they shall retire.
*But life was never fair, that promised time suddenly felt like never.*
For creature that shouldn't gained immortality, forced to living eternally would mean only one thing;
To leave everything behind, to cease as human being.

"That simple," He smiled, a blue Icy marble appeared so tender behind his usually cold indefference towards the inner court, "Time kills *us*, that is the fact, because we were nothing but humans."
"Your mother kill the *time*, as she had always mean to living a long life. That was her normal life expectancy... And yours."
