Today was the day that Mercat had let y/n join her in making a new potion. This potion was meant to be a shimmer potion that makes everything it touches sparkle and shine! The potion itself was a cloudy white liquid that was holographic-ally shining that shimmered rainbow when the lights hit it. Today Mercat wanted to show y/n where to harvest potion ingredients and how to mix them all together.
y/n strolled into the bathroom with the brightest smile and their backpack all ready to go. While Mercat was getting a box and some bottles ready.
As y/n walked up to her pink counter y/n gleefully let out a “mercat! I'm so excited”
“Hey y/n i hope so! Are you ready to make that shimmer potion?” she asked
“Yea!” y/n replied
“That's great” Mercat said, putting a box filled with six empty bottle spots onto the counter.
“First things first we got to get all of the ingredients first” She said showing them all the empty bottles.
“How many do we need?” y/n asked tilting their head
“This potion is on the heavier side of ingredients we need six, sprinkles, glitter, six petals of rainbow sprinkle flowers, pillow fluff, ice cubes, and confetti!” Mercat explained
“Thats aloooot of things” said y/n
“Dont worry it's not too much, we can't handle it first lets get the petals from the garden” said Mercat. She carried the potion ingredients box and the two took the Catavator to the Fairy Tail Garden.
Up in the Garden Kitty fairy was watering her plants as the Two other cats joined her
“Hey you two, what brings you to the garden?” kitty fairy asked floating towards them
“We are gathering ingredients for a shimmer potion and we need six rainbow sprinkle flower petals. Do you have any we could have?” Mercat asked
“I absolutely do ill go grab some” Kitty Fairy said flying away
As the two waited some fluffy white dandelions had caught y/n eye “ooo” they whispered to themselves as they picked a few. They started blowing on one of them, sending a bunch of little fluffy seeds floating in all directions, and even some sticking to their fur “Wow” they whispered
“Oh some white dandelions, can you pick some for me? I have another potion that needs a few we can make it another time” said Mercat
“Okay!” y/n replied as they crouched down and picked up six more dandelions. Lucky there was a big patch and lots to pick from. y/n took some with lots of seeds ready to float away, some with fluff just starting to sprout and one with only half its seeds.
“Got some!” y/n said
“Great! Can you put them in your bag for now?” Asked Mercat
y/n nodded their head and stuffed them into their bag
Just then Kitty Fairy floated back over.
“I got you those flower petals you needed” Kitty Fairy said, handing them over to Mercat who then put the petals into the potion bottle.
“Thanks Kitty Fairy” cheered mercat
“Your welcome if you need anything else im right her in the garden” she replied
Kitty Fairy floated off to tend to other parts of the Fairy Tail Garden. Mercat then turned to y/n and said
“Next we can head to the kitchen to get some sprinkles and ice cubes. Let's go see cakey!”
The two cats headed over to the Catavator but the Dollhouse tail slide had caught their eye.
“Ooo can I take the side down?” they asked
“Sure, I'll meet you down there,” said Mercat as she got into the Catavator.
y/n launched themselves down the side speeding down the long swirly side with the wind flowing though their fluffy fur.
“Weeeee!” they squealed with their paws in the air while giggling.
By the time they got to the kitchen they flew across the floor spinning around. Right as y/n stopped spinning Mercat floated out of the Catavator. y/n got up and the two went to talk to Cakey who was putting away some food.
“Hey cakey!” y/n said
“Hi y/n hi mercat” he said putting away some egg’s
“What are you two up to?” asked Cakey
“We are making a shimmer potion and we need some ice cubes and sprinkles,” Mercat explained.
“I have some ice cubes in the fridge you can use” He said as he traded a tub of ice cream for an ice cube tray and placed it on the table.
“Here you go” Cakey said sliding the ice tray
“Ill get the sprinkles in a bit” he said putting away the rest of the food.
“Oh! Can one of you hand me another bowl from the cabinet?" Cakey asked
“I can” y/n said leaping over to the cabinet behind the circle counter. They swung the door open and took a look inside. The cabinet was overflowing with kitchen supplies, y/n scanned the cabinet staring at all the shiny metal objects until they spotted a pink bowl near the back. They reached in and grabbed it and passed it to Cakey.
“Here you go” y/n said
“Thanks y/n” he said as he floated into the air. Mercat got out two bottles and started catching the sprinkles in one and putting ice cubes in the other one.
“Thanks for the ice cubes and the sprinkles” said Mercat
“Your welcome” Cakey replied as he got back to putting away some more food
“Now lets head up to the craft room and get some glitter” Mercat said
The two cats headed into the Catavator and headed up to the Craft room where Baby Box and Benny Box were making some paintings.
“...and just like that you make a cloud” Baby Box told Benny as the two were making a new craft Baby box came up with
“Hey y/n hey mercat what brings you two the craft room”
“We are making a shimmer potion and we need some glitter for it” Mercat explained
Baby Box hopped over to the shelf grabbing a container of glitter and sliding it to Mercat
“Here, take what you need,” she said. y/n got out the bottle as Mercat poured out some of the glitter.
“Thanks baby box!” y/n said passing the bottle to Mercat
“What are you making?” they asked the cardboard cuties
“Painting some skies and glueing cotton balls to make clouds i can show you how to make one later” she said
“Sure sounds fun” y/n agreed while Baby box put the glitter away.
“We need two more things. I'll go head to the bedroom to see if I can get pillow cat as some pillow fluff around and you can see if marty has some confetti we could use i will meet you in the bathroom later” said Mercat as she passed them the confetti container. The two got back into the Catavator. It first dropped off Mercat in the Bedroom then took y/n to the Party room.
In the Party Room Marty was skating around with Gabby and Pandy.
y/n stepped out a Marty zoomed past them
Off guard causing them to spin and fall.
“Oh sorry about that” said Marty “are you okay?” he asked holding out his paws to lift y/n back on their hind paws
“Yea im fine” they answered “mercat’s wondering if you had extra confetti” holding out the confetti bottle.
“Oh for a potion?” he asked, y/n nodded in response
“Sure hang on, I'll go get some” he said, skating off
“Hi gabby hi pandy” y/n greeted
“Hey y/n what kind of potion are you and Mercat making?” Gabby asked.
“A shimmer potion” y/n answered
“What are you gonna do with it?” Pandy asked
“I dont know” y/n answered
“Yet! Maybe we can see what you do with it?” Gabby said
Just then Marty came back with the confetti
“Here you go” he said pouring it out for them
“Thanks!” y/n said. As they turned to wait for the Catavator Gabby and Pandy took off their skates and helmets “we wanna see what this potion does we will come right back and skate again” Gabby said
“Okay have fun” Marty says
The three of them hopped into the Catavator and headed to the Bathroom.
In the Bath room Mercat was wearing her goggles ready to mix everything up.
“Hey y/n did you get the confetti?” Mercat asked
“Yea” they said handing the bottle over
“Gabby and pandy wanna see what it does” y/n added
“Thats fine here grab some goggles safety before science” she said. After all of them put on a pair of goggles they mixed up all six of the ingredients. Pandy poured in the ice, Gabby poured in the glitter mercat poured in the sprinkles and pillow fluff while y/n poured in the confetti and petals. But something white and fluffy came out and into the bowl while y/n was pouring the two tubes. As it mixed together a beam of light shot out and so did white particles.
“Uh oh” y/n said
“is this right?” asked Gabby
“I dont think so!” said Mercat
Just then white fluffy stuff filled the Bathroom with piles of it covering everything.
“Is this…snow?” asked Mercat as she double checked the box.
“What went wrong?” y/n asked
Mercat then took a look into her potions book and skimmed the book for a snowy potions page.
“I think something extra had gotten in” said Mercat “im not sure what it could be” she added
Then y/n remembered the dandelion fluff.
“Oh, like these?” they said pulling them out of their bag
“It must have been” Mercat said. “We can try this again everyone grab a salt shaker” she said, grabbing three for the others.
“Use these to melt the ice i will go collect a fresh batch of ingredients” she said leaving the Bath room
“Lets get to melting” Gabby said
The three of them continued to melt all of the snow piles. Pandy tackled the counter, Gabby took the left side while y/n took the right.
“Look at me” Pandy did some jumps and spins while melting the ice away
After a while Mercat came back with more ingredients “you all did a good job with the salt” she said blowing bubbles to clean up the Bath room a bit getting rid of the salty water residue.
“Are you ready to try this again?” asked Mercat
“Yea” replied Gabby
All four of them put back on the safety goggles and got to work, each of them pouring out a bottle. This time an aroma of white shimmer floated out and dispersed into rainbow glitter. Everyone had a smile on their face as they finally got it right.
“Yay!” y/n said
“It worked” said Gabby
“so what does it do?” asked pandy
Mercat poured the white shimmery liquid into a potion bottle with a label and got out a pink pipette.
“Ill show you” Mercat replied, grabbing a bottle of matte nail polish, she squeezed a drop out turning the plane boring silver holographic.
“So pretty can you do my ears?” Gabby asked
“Sure!” Mercat replied adding a bit of shimmer to her cat ear headband
“Can you do my fur?” Pandy asked
“Sure thing!” Mercat said making them match
“Would you like some shimmer y/n?” she asked
“Sure!” y/n answered
Then the three of them were all spinning around admiring their new look.
“Were gonna go show marty! See you later mercat see ya y/n” Gabby said as her and Pandy went upstairs
“Im gonna make a few more things shimmer i think baby box wants to show you that sky craft now” she told y/n
“Ok” y/n replied heading up to the music room to see their other friend.
