The first thing Cody felt upon regaining consciousness was something rubbing against one of his horns. He let out a sleepy groan as he slowly blinked his eyes opened, the sunlight pouring from the window stinging his eyes. Once they had adjusted he looked over to the disruption to see his wife’s tail bracing against it.
He chuckled to himself at the odd sleeping position he had gotten in. His lower half was straight, his legs tangled gently in the talons of his spouse. His upper half however was facing comically far away practically hanging off the edge of the bed allowing the half dracobloxxer’s tail to reach his horn.
It was a nasty habit that he hadn’t managed to break yet it seemed. You see back when they had first moved in together when they were merely dating and things hadn’t been as set they had to share a rather small bed. Those days Cody ever the gentleman would sleep on the furthest side of the bed to give his love some much needed room.
Now that they were married and had come into more money this issue had been fixed by buying a new much larger circler bed that covered most of the room leading to the moving around of furniture. It seemed that his bed was still hardwired to move in his sleep even when losing consciousness within his brides embrace.
He moved himself back into proper position cracking his neck a bit as he did and accessed his C00LGUI to check the time. With all of the things his GUI could do it certainly removed the need for other devices. The clock read 6:34, he hummed to himself before looking at his wife still sleeping peacefully. He decided to let sleep for just a bit longer.

The thing that stirred Pen awake from her slumber was the delicious smell of toast and eggs followed by the admittedly saddening absence of her husband tho he wasn’t far she had a feeling. She rose from her bed letting out a yawn and she went out of their room and down the stares to their kitchen to see her husband making breakfast.
She rapped her arms around his stomach and put her noise to his hair taking in his smell. He was dressed in a blue button up shirt with a pair of tan gens. He dressed very similarly to that of his father the only explanations being the lack of a burger hat and glasses. They stayed like that in silence just enjoying the moment and what it was.
They had moments like this often but they still cherished them like they were rare. Pen never had these moments of love when she was growing up and only till maturity did she realize how much she craved them. After a few minutes of comfortable silence she begrudgingly left her husbands side and went to sit at the dining room table.
Upon taking her seat she spoke up for the first time in the day.
“How rude of you to just leave me like that.”
She said pettily but with no real anger or venom. It was more of a light tease then an a complaint and Cody went along with it chucking before responding.
“You looked comfortable.”
“I’d always allow being woken up by you as long as I get cuddles after.”
She said matter a factly while nodding her head. Cody let out another chuckle before another comfortable silence ran over them. Cody spoke up again asking Pen if she wanted coffee which she declined. Eventually the breakfast had been finished and Cody came with two plates in hand placing them in front for both.
They ate together exchanging comments and small talk with one another, enjoying each other’s company.
