Chapter Text
Iowen had spent the better part of an hour trying to brew a proper cup of celestial tea.
“The proportions must be exact!” she insisted.
Shannon peered over her shoulder. “It’s tea, not the creation of a universe. Loosen up.”
“You think you can just wing it with the highest-order leaf infusion?” Iowen huffed. “This is an art!”
“Highest-order leaf?” Shannon deadpanned. “That’s just chamomile from the Nether Realm.”
“And your point?” Iowen countered. “Chamomile from the Nether Realm is exponentially more powerful than mortal chamomile.”
Before Shannon could respond, Redecca appeared, arms crossed, glaring at both of them.
“You’re arguing over tea again?” she said, voice full of judgment. “I swear, if I have to clean up another scorched countertop because someone misused divine fire…”
“…It was one time,” Iowen muttered defensively.
“…Three times,” Shannon added, calmly.
“Exactly.” Redecca shot her a glare. “Do you think I enjoy cleaning up molten tea leaves from the countertop?”
“…You have a broom,” Shannon said.
“And pride,” Iowen muttered. “Which is why she’s so dramatic.”
“Silence!” Redecca snapped. “I am dramatic because the sacred kitchen is sacred! Not a playground for your petty squabbles.”
